hell yeh..... you'll be bussy for a while :P :D good luck with it!
Congratulations Chuck.. :)
where'd u source it from btw? O'seas? and how much? did u have to get bits and pieces with it, etc etc?
Way to go Chuck :)
Will it fit in my EF9? :P
congrats mate..
btw what is the oz record for fastest na ff ?
and world record?
who holds it ?
never looked into drags =P
I sourced it locally.
Setanta: Yeah it'll fit but it is a B-I-G job.....too big to justify
I think mine is the fastest NA FF in Oz but I've been told there are a bunch of cars that are coming out to kick my a$$
World record is Leslie Durst with a 9.93 in a CRX
from a cr-v or euro???? :D
Sounds good!
Keep us updated with the progress :)
CRV motor but fitting K20a2 head
Picked up the motor today and pulled the manifolds off to run the old "porting finger" down the ports. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!
This motor is gonna be real strong 8)
It looks to CLEAN to race Chuck
how much power do u expect mate?
I don't have a set figure in mind
Motor and 5 speed box are in the engine bay
Photo's should be up on my site soon
i thought Hayden Skinner's EG Civic was fastest All Motor FWD in Australia and New Zealand he ran 11.89 at Wellington Jamboree in November
Yeah I agree. He is the fastest in NZ and I am the fastest in Australia. I was asked who was the quickest in OZ
congrats dude..
is it going to be ready for DragCombat?
 will that ever see the streets??
well i hope so ;)
need any help i would like to learn some things :)
you thinking of reproducing these or other mounts for the K-series?
you know to support the habit.
do you do your own engine building??
good luck on your QUEST
lol - the red terror has been on the road now and then
Minimalism at its best :D I see you're not punishing yourself by dropping the standard seats back in for driving!
nicee man..goodluck w/ ur project :)
I'll be happy if it's running this year
I doubt there woukd be enough interest in a kit
Yes I do my own engine building
S2000 seats are "supposed" to be on the way from the States
There's a Pommy bloke who reckons the F20 head fits.... Strange, but never tried it... should be a nice little weapon, even if the engine does turn the wrong way in that car....
ALLMTR, do you live quakers hill way? I think I seen your car around before you got those plates. :)
is it going into a 1985 civic?? also do u mean fastest n/a in aus or including turbo??
Yes it is going into my 1985 Civic and it will be the quickest FWD street car in the world (turbo or not)
hahaha
"in the world"
i love that dude
hahaha
props to u mate ..
what motor is a k24, sounds pretty mean fastest in the world!! > >
---
K24 is out of a CRV/euro accord
CRV motor...Fastest in the world.....i think im confused
I think you need to do some research.... CRV/Accord Euro engine be only the block useful.. think, 2.4 litre Type R, with the K20 head... think serious weapon
Will still be running the K24 head
Really?? Why is that so?Quote:

I'll be running either Toda C's or VTEC killers
Ah, I didn;t know that they were close enough to use the TR cams etc... Should be interesting none the less. Will flow nicely I suspect. I haven't had a K series engine apart yet, haven't had one at the engine builders yet....
Some guy in the UK managed 2564cc's (from memory) and recieved a healthy 260fwhp. Specs weren't disclosed, but someone else claims to have a 290fwhp CTR K27...
Either a couple of dreamers or serious nutters....
Hope all goes well, iterested to follow the build up - for track racing purposes
Hows the project going ChucK?
Update:
To all the people who PM me, thanx for your interest/support.
Unfortunately it seems everything in my life has turned to shit and I couldn't give a **** about cars at the moment...
Tho if anyone needs advice, let me know.....
That's no good.
Best of luck and hope everything turns out
Sucks to hear that Chuck...
hope you sort everything out and get back to doing things you love again soon.
Well, things are (sorta) worked out and it's time to get back into it.
Hope to be up and running ASAP
Thanx for the well wishes 8)
woohoo!! can't wait to see the end result!! GL!!
Hayden skinner sold his civic over here in Nz, (his from my group, aka ALL Motor group)
I think he is working on something else now, I think hayden did a time faster then 11.89?..i forgot but i'll get back on that.
there is a guy here in nz with a K20AR in a EG civic, untuned, fully stock (internally) i think he did a few 12.5-12.8 passes, he is also currently working on it internally to make the engine full race built!
shoudl be done sometime soon, so it'll be interesting to compare your's to his after both are done with mods(internally) 8)
Did he sell it to Kelford Cams? I was in there a couple of months back and they had it on the trailer in their shop. Said they'd just bought it. I was surprised to see things like standard B18C variable length intake manifold on it (butterflys removed). Had a serious dose of lightening as well.
Chuck, you have something to prove now..
a Turbo '73 civic is doing a 12.6 1/4 on street tyres....... It must be destroyed!!!
Hehe, my old car, I like sleepers. Nice work Angus! Will go quicker once it has the fragile EN box beefed up. Mind you the box doesn't do to badly considering it is 25yrs old and originally had a mighty 38hp @ the wheels. It only has to deal with 180hp @ the wheels now. Honda (over)engineering for you.
Chuck should be considerably quicker since the civ wasn't built for drag racing.
As for destroying it how could say such a thing.
Angus has done very well but that time will not be destroyed....it will be anialated 8)Quote:

I hope you ended up with what you were chasing the other day.
Can you muster enough go to beat a little old grandma shopping trolley like that? Since your car weighs less and has a significantly better weight distribution it shouldn't take too much to beat.
But as an all rounder it is still not bad even if it is the fastest street registered fwd on street tyres for only a short while.
breeze..yup, he sold it to Kelford cams, did you come to NZ for a holiday or are you a kiwi?
:)
HAHAHAQuote:

TakeiTeg- Was on a holiday, come over quite regularly. It looks like I might be making the move permanently though. I find out on Friday.
