Hey guys i had an accident someone rear ended me and chucked a runner, i called the police and filed report w/e recon insurance will help us out?
yeah they will..
if you have full comp, and you pay the excess for it. I think you may be unlucky here :(
i dont got full comp thats the thing T_T third party ****in bullshit
Mmmmmmmm that's why I'd never drive a car without full comp unless i was willing to lose it.
Bad luck buddy - how bad's the damage?
pretty bad man what should i do now?
Were you with the car at the time or was is parked? And where in canley did the accident take place?
Try ask for any witnesses or surveillance footage?
Sorry to hear, all these scumbag hit and run kients
Chuck up a picture
Sorry to hear
Fkin gay .......
That's messed up. I think everyone is being to harsh on you man. Full comprehensive is expensive for younger people, having third party atleast covers the other person if your at fault. One would expect others to do the same and not hit and run but I guess that's the selfish society we live in. Without grabbing the other persons details and no evidence (ID, rego etc) I think your on your own.
duzy how the fk did u know it was at canley? aye! do u know somthing?
why would you drive an ep3r and not have comprehensive insurance? hope you learnt your lesson.
Sorry man i don't mean to be twisting the knife or anything, but that's the gamble you take when you go without full comp... I don't care if it costs more, the risk is too high with dishonest people these days. If i can't afford to insure it i won't buy it.
Only thing you can do now is hope that someone saw and make a police report. Best of luck .
Simple fact. with 3rd party, they will want nothing to do with you. Unless you have rego plates, or evedence on who done it. If it happened at the shops or near a camera you may be able to take the footage to the cops.
Best thing to do. Full insure it. And have ACCIDENT in a week or so. If you get my drift!
that would be called fraud
Ur third party insurance will have a clause in it saying if the party at fault is uninsured and unable to pay then your insurance company will pay you an amount of $xxxx
I was insured with coles car insurance and had a car accident not at fault, the people who crashed into me didnt have insurance and my car was a write off.
Coles ended up paying me $3000 because of this clause and i got to keep my car. Sold parts in it then sold the rest of the car to a scrap yard for metal and ended up with about 1000 extra. So in total i got about $4000. I could of then taken the person at fault to court but it wasnt worth it as i only paid $4500 of the EK civic.
Also once you lodge a claim for the non insurance pay out with your insurance company, they legally have to go through with investigating the claim. It might take a while, took me about 3months to see my money but you will get it
Hope this helps you in anyway. Just have a look at your fine print on ur third party insurance. I know just car does the same thing
oh sorry not my car my parents car, dad drove me wit his car
Also realistically, u just got rear ended. Do u just need a new rear bumper?
it probs wouldnt even be worth going through insurance even if you had it.
depends on the damage and impact speed. you never know what is underneath all that skin damage, could be something worse.
Damage depends on how hard you've been hit, like some people have said it might not look too bad from outside but you won't really know until you pull it apart. Hopefully it hasn't pushed your beaver panel in and is just a rear bar. Bad luck though and definitely learn from your mistake, go full comp next time.
shoudlve vteced and chased them
Certainly didn't. But if you want to try and spread illegal advice then you should be clear that it's illegal... because i know you will hide behind the "I nor ozhonda take responsibility for your actions" rubbish.
I have neg repped you for that post. Hope your jimmies remain unrustled.
some 3rd party policies actually come with something called uninsured motorist damage. Yes you technically cannot insure the car with pre existing damage and just remember your duty of discloser if they find out that you lied they will terminate the policy and start the recovery process. I work for an insurance company if u are not honest from the start it will bite you in the arse!!!!!
At OP ... did you actually see the driver rear end you? Because if you know what the cars brand and colour was you should investigate surrounding areas which have camera surveillance to get the number plate etc.
Just re-read this but I hope you're aware that insurance companies spend a lot of money in investigating fraud, to say the least I was at a session this week from one company which had a member from their fraud department present who used to work for the federal police.
So I hope you think twice in case you're considering being moronic enough to attempt something like this. So you know as well its generally not the amount they'll go after it will be the fact you're trying to cheat them out of money.
This isn't like taking something stupid like steroids where you'll get a slap on the wrist for doing it.
he already file report to policeman, how to trick insurant?
Went to get insurance ... Got magic beans instead ... Dat Simpsons influence
Dumb insurance fraud idears aside i think your best off talking to your insurance company as many have mentioned some policys have a clause in regard to uninsured drivers where they will pay $xxxx or market value what evers less, but thats only if its a write off. post a pictura
should check with where you parked if there were any cameras cos it'll be useful evidence as well
with the colour of the offenders car matching to the damage
also insurance companies investigate to prevent fraud do don't do anything illegal
Sorry to hear bro,
A claim under Thrid Party Property Dmg uninsured motorist exention can only be lodged if you have a third party/responsible rego or details. if you dont have any details they will not lodge a claim for you. your insurance companies Product Disclosure Statement will have the minimum requirments to lodge for this sort of claim on TPPD Policy.
The only option you are left with is possibly getting qtes and seeing what is the best deal for you to repair your car.
Once you actually find the offender you will need to put a claim through the offenders insurance company!!!!
Hey man, I had an incident similar to this last year and my insurer declined the pay out for damages ( I was on third party ). There's really not much to do in this situation, you could leave the damage as is if you are not fussed about it, or if you really want to go ahead and fix it, try calling around smash repairs to get quotes and get it fixed out of your own pocket. Hopefully you get evidence of the guy that did this to you and they pay up. Just sharing my personal experience hope it helps
From the parts i picked up its a mazda 6 white cops tried checkin cameras dw abt it guys thanx anyways life sux drive safely

I know its just the internet and you are just saying an opinion , but you are suggesting something illegal and Insurance companies / police are members on this forum - they see your post , ask me for your IP and location and they investigate you further.
Just so you could sound hard on the internet.
