http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps7ea56013.jpg
love how the factory sunroof has a old school gold tint to it, wish i could get the windows done to match
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps38585464.jpg
interior is pretty good

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps212bcf55.jpg
next up get some 4x100 to 4x114.3 adapters so i can chuck some meshies on
Wow both of those cars are delish
man you are stuck in the 80's ay? :P
I do love 80s cars. Always had a liking towards hondas and in particular civic wagons due to their looks and rarity. Nobody can deny honda builds a great motor.
how do you afford dis nice cars when just doing tofu deliverys?...well your friend dose tofu delivers...cause levin
nah jk welcome to ozhonda fella not many civic wagons gettn round so look after that one cause u know itll look after you
Hah. I do like initial d.
Im a upholsterer so im pretty limited to cheap cars. Im really happy with the wagon so far. I wont be doing a motor swap until this one dies. And by the looks of things I dont think its going to die anytime soon.
lol always the way....try to justify the d,b or k swap but just not happening
we here at ozhonda pledge not to crash our EGs into ur 86 during any races including but not limited to duct tape death matches
Ah shingo, redeemed himself in later episodes.
Was the toda schools ek in later episodes basically the same as the spoon ek's?
Redid my nardi steering wheel at work today, pics up later tonight. On my phone at the moment. Damn I love driving this car :)
fixed up a nardi that was given to me, was starting to expand and leather was wearing out.
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps76c8abe2.jpg
all better now, excuse the seat cover and rubber floor mats, rubber matts are protecting the factory floor mats came with the car.
nardi looks good as. looks very period correct.
Looks so tidy inside!
If you find those adapters and want some 15" Epsilon southern ways let me know... Might be quite the match for your wagon
http://www.loxlee-loves-engines.com/...tle-camber.jpg
Love southern ways mesh, but I already have some hero's mesh 14x7 0 rims.
Appreciate the offer. Any way I can change to 4x114.3 without using adapters, its my last resort
i threw up in my mouth
lol its love or hate with these...
anyway fitted my broadway... love them mirrors
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps23ea5a46.jpg
Also dave im for function> form
fair enough. dont get me wrong id love to have a lil car i could dump and just make the most stupid thing going fo' lols .. but for me i cant justify the cost of building a car like that.
Rims and coilovers dont cost that much.
I like looking at other peoples cars like the wagon above but I prefer a car that handles and doesn't rub so I'd never go that far.
i dont think thats just rims n coilovers i recon they would have done camber arms too. but i know what u mean..
sssooooooooo a mate gave me these... 16x7 +45.not sure what they are
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps518aee26.jpg
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps20370864.jpg
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps4bccf109.jpg
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...psa32f80c3.jpg
they wouldnt look to bad if the car was lower but im more into 13" to 15" wheels personally. they are made in japan and pretty lightweight too.
would be keen to swap these for some factory alloys, have not been on here long enough to make a sale post =(
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...6/100_5196.jpg
these would be a nice in between wheel before i fit my 14" meshies
would love to see a turbo awd setup, keep it budget see what you can do. :)
I've sourced a d16y1, plan to run it with carbs for the hell of it. ;)
The motor in this while still strong drinks oil and water, doesnt blow smoke which is weird though.
Ive found a vid on youtube with a guy running a d16y1 on carbs

Not bad
hey ae86dc has a comp running at the moment, the build thread with the most views wins free shockworks coilovers. if you've got the time click this link and help me achieve some better handling and ride height =)
cheers
geoff

https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...00691338_n.jpg
help me get low, big thanks to people that have clicked the build thread, currently winning in view counts!
would be awesome if a honda won on a toyota forum =)
also any info on camber kits? pretty much anything from a ed/ef should work i guess? i dont plan on running mexican fitment, this was just a photo showing the rims on the car and the work ahead of getting it to look good but handle well, no tyre tucking massive stretch etc.
more info/pics on the ae8dc thread
hnnnng those wheels
Did you buy wheels off grifty?
no these were spares from my ae86.
not quite enough width for a sprinter, you need 7-8" zeros for ae86
Still needs more low. More pics in the build thread
car looks nice as man! thumbs up
Are they 4x114?
What's total offset with the meshies and adaptors?
Fits nice or too much poke?
Quick summary is wheels re drilled, makita coils and 5mm slip ons for caliper clearance.
If you have the time check out the build thread link. Lots of pics and details in there, I only try to get traffic to the thread because there is a competition on at the moment with the thread that gets the most views wins a set of coilovers.
I believe im currently in the lead which is awesome but I need to stay in the lead till the end of jan.
So sorry to keep on reminding people about it.
Thanks for the kind comments
Dats some meaty tyres!
185/60/14.
Im not into stretch.
Nothing against it though.
Failed at diy window tints. Never knew how much harder it is doing framed doors compared to frameless subaru doors.
Anyone here skilled at it and keen for a cashie?
I have the opposite problem
Tint seperated from the glue FML
MCM make it look easier than what it is
How does that happen? Bad quality tint?
Did you use no tears baby shampoo with bottled water? Thats the go.
Works better then tap water and morning fresh.
Also use a industrial steamer to remove the tint/glue.
Heaps faster and cleaner then mcm way
Plus one to steamer
Scored a replacement lower console insert, previous owner hacked up the original one. Being a wagon its completely different from all other civics of the same year group. So pretty happy with that.
However, it had a 4 pin plug. Power, earth and two reds for the bulbs, one in the ashtray and one for the white circle around the lighter. My car had a two pin plug.
So got a 4 pin one from the wreckers and linked earth and power and then joined the two reds to the illumination wire on the stereo loom as its not used anymore and everything works bar the lighter bulb. Tried another bulb and still not working. Dont have a multi meter.
Also had an issue with the heater control led, bottom one works perfectly but the top one doesnt. Sort of got it to work, plugged it back in and nothing.
Not a big deal but I like shit working properly.
Another thing, the tilt column wont drop. Inspected it, everything looks fine but it just wont tilt.
Anyone else have similar symptoms?
Also it looks like im still leading the view count for that shockworks coilovers comp, ends at the end if jan though so I guess anything can happen but just wanted to say thanks if you clicked the link, really appreciate it.
Im sure it'll shit some of the toyota guys if a honda wins, as moog says.....chopped!
Hey mate, Welcome.
I am new to the Honda community too and have an EF and also a subaru!
8 days left in this coilovers comp and some other toyotas are bringing out the big guns cross promoting on jdm style tuning. Im starting to lose my lead.
Help the underdog civic wagon win. Just click the link in my sig to view my build thread and check out the pages, much civic love in there.
Thanks guys, never thought I'd even have a chance in this comp
Hehe maybe you need to whore off your thread to compete eh? :P
:) I thought that's what I was already doing. Sorry to spam it, just dont want to lose my lead.
Took it out for some pics last night and every time I pressed in the clutch I had a mad screeching noise, but my power steering reservoir overflowed.
Wonder whats happening there
Hmmm maybe there is in air in the p.s lines
When at idle
Full lock left to right about two times each side and that should bleed it properly
Changed the p.s fluid recently?
^^ thanks for the tip however haven't changed the fluid recently.
Also here is a vid to describe the problem with the clutch
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Eu7...e_gdata_player
Noise occurs when the clutch is pressed in.
Found the input shaft part number but cant find the input shaft bearing part number.
Called honda but they were pretty useless to be honest :(
More detailed description to come
Hope this may help?

^^ think thats it.
♡ you jasemas
All good man
I'm always on that website for car part numbers, it's great
Thrust bearing shit itself today, couldn't engage gear.
Clutch pedal thumping when pressed.
Got the forester and a car trailer and took it down to my mechanics.
Was a bit much for the forester to tow but made it in the end.
And only 2 days left on the coilover comp.
Shitting bricks right now
At least you knew it was on its way out
What'd the mechanic say?
Thought the forrester would be able to handle a heavier load?
They said its a engine in job which is a relief. Ae95r corolla wagons are a motor out job, more often then not the labour charge costs more then the car and they get wrecked.
Got my clutch kit for $100, mate works at a parts supplier.
Its a 99 forester gt, auto and on liberty bilstein suspension. It did well, glad I fitted bigger calipers and rotors a while ago.
Just struggled up hill from a standstill. Could smell the auto box getting warm lol.
Xt foz with the 2.5l and manual would be better but its my wifes car anyway.
This is it, comp finishes tonight at 12am.
Just wanted to thank everyone that checked out the build thread and helped out with the view count. The show of support for this unique ef wagon has been overwhelming.
Hopefully we win. The suspension company doing the coilovers hasn't tuned the ef chassis before so if we win they will take the wagon and specifically make/tune a setup for the ef wagon, not sure if anybody else does that around the world purposely for that particular model.
Either way, much appreciation and such amaze ;)
I'll update this when the comp finishes, we are in the lead but anything can happen
Cheers
Geoff
Thats nasty
Good news, I won the comp :)
More low coming, many thanks to people that checked the thread.
Pretty cool as these will be the first ef wagon specific coilovers in the world.
More info to come.
I have the same make of coilovers in my ae86 and they are amazeballs.
Excited
Good work man
Glad you won the coilover comp
Any idea on how many voted you had/how much you won by?
well funny story, i won by 31,918 views.
in actual fact i would have only won by about 6 thousand views but the guy that was coming in second place had a dummy spit because i was winning and quit the comp on the last day and had his build thread removed at his own request.
little did he know that there was a second place prize, a go pro, which he now cant claim because he deleted his thread.... lol
We've just started up a car of the month type thing at 86dc.
Thought I'd put it up here as there was a few people that showed interest in mine.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/cotm/cotm.php
Still doing the final touches, will be adding more high res pics for wallpapers but you can leave anonymous comments.
Wont be limited to toyotas only :)
No its a mates, this is my onehttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...psab33c7e6.jpg
Mine was used in a unique cars/motor magazine comparison article when the new 86 was released.
Also in this video
http://youtu.be/oA9ppkLOqCA
Seeing as I won what I'd consider to be incredible suspension I suppose I should go all out with this car.
I'll change all the bushes and do bodywork and paint, retrim the interior etc.
Engine swap maybe one day, nothing drastic though, still stick with a carb d series.
Jdm d15b is the one to keep an eye out for right?
A mate of mine is a cylinder head guru, if anyone has a D15b4 head spare I'd like to see what could be done with it

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/524205.jpg
Some pics from a bbq I hosted with ae86dc, those guys love the wagon.
Reverted back to cprs untill suspension is finished, sprayed gold to it doesn't stand out as much
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...psf9c30bfb.jpg
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...psdc8b4022.jpg
And finally Shoichi's wagon in japan. We're in the "slow wagons club" ;)
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps32dcb681.jpg
Seriously jealous, just found this thread. There's also a guy over in Perth (specially if it was painted gold) who'd be beating a path to your door to get this off you.
The meshies do look good, but if you ever want some dish, you might consider this
http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/a...ld/9ad89k1.jpg
Just remembered too (but it's a few years ago), there was one of these at Boss Wrecking in Brisbane Ph 07 3390 4555. Could be worth a call to see if it's still there.

http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/a...ckathon006.jpg
Thanks for the tip about the wreckers hondapop, I'll give them a call.
I love that wagon with the widended rt steelies, would have gone down that rd but my wagon came with eg steelies, interceptor style :(
I probably should have named the thread differently, would get more views then.
Im trying to find out more information about wagon sales in Australia, all the ones I know of are rt4wd, did they not offer the fwd versions?
I know 3 others in victoria and a friend spotted 2 others, apart from that nada, would have to be one of the rarest cars on the rd.
I feel very fortunate to have one
