What motor are you going to swap in? Whatever you decide on, go with a complete front cut to get everything you will need. Add in the cost of an EFi fuel pump and a surge tank, auto electrician etc. Best bet is a ZC from a JDM CRX as a cut or a SOHC VTEC front cut. Both go straight in as long as you have all the parts.
Don't bother trying to change the existing motor to EFi itself - there's no point.
i got quoted abt 6k to do the whole swap to b16a incl gearbox....but i heard its big job...all the wiring needed for the fuel system,
mayb he wants to fuel inject his d15?
it wil cos around 1700 for the instalation doe a d16a8 engin will cost about 1000 with warenty im paying 3500
How would you change the d15 to efi? swap the head and fuel tank and lines? Then there'd be ecu aswell? That all?
That's why I said "It's not worth it".:confused::confused::confused:Quote:

the reason i was asking about fuel injection conversion was because my carb is stuff and i thought maybe if i do fuel injection conversion would be cheaper......seems like its not cheaper...anywayz thanks for ur replyz guyz...

you can get a set of carbs from the wreckers for about $100. I doubt you could do the conversion for anywhere near that.
I have a twin carb 92 Civi Model just wondering what is the cheapest way of increasing power?
Do a search man. there is a thread in the articles section about twin carb mods. Or check out this thread: http://www.d-series.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1416 There are some free/very cheap mods you can do to the carbs. Apart from these it gets more expensive.
if you just looked at the build threads section there are 2 detailed threads (including mine) on doing this conversion and multiple threads about carby to EFI. I swear there are about 3 posts about this a week, whether it be for ED or EG.
use SEARCH and read other threads before posting....
That's actually not too bad man, what suburb are they in?
or do it your self
and save around 2.5K in labour

thats their site :)
But wouldnt it be harder to get blue slip unless you know someone who would do it? :o
6k ouft
do they provide all the parts aswell?
why not try greenacre? they charging my mate 1500 including all parts for auto to manual conversion on SSS
LOL fk SSS lol i wooped them with a b16a.. lol 4 people in the car vsing a SSS with 2 people in the car.. he got owned when vtec kicked it.. Proves honda is better than nissan's :D haha
jks jks
yeah they do include parts + labor + blue slip and everything you need to engineer your car. 6k is including engine and etc. And they choose the best condition engines, not some dodgy ones
Im doing a swap now, from d15b4 dual carby to a b18cr.got quoted 6500 for b16a or 8800 for jdm b18cr with 5 stud conversion. Depending on your funds, b series will be the way to go, i could only afford b16a but an extra 2k to get type r and 5 stud, i saved abit more
type r in eg?
a dream....
nice! i want to do that as well, jdm b18cr into my EG GL lol, i got quoted 5k for the engine, and 2k for the labour putting it in + EFI conversion :(
if its around 6k for b16 conversion for gl
how much would be for h22a vtec conversion?
would h22a vtec be faster then b16a?
