He was leading and now a GTR with 2 tassie guys are from memory.
I would love to do this race, give me a 911 turbo and let me on my way. :D

Was running 18th after Leg3. Must've had problems today.
Didn't the GTR win?
By 6 seconds!

Looked like a great field.
that gtr is awesome
woa.. look at the GTR displacement!!! its like almost 4400cc!!! gosh!!!! i thought they came in 2600cc and you could stroke it up to like 3.2 liters... but 4.4??? its gotta be a monster!!!!!
whoaa crazy GTR!! do they show any highlights on tv of the targa tasmania??
I'm sure either Speedweek or RPM will show it.
I'm sure that Channel 10 have a hour show showing it over 2 weeks.
It's not actually a 4.4L. They have a multiplier for turbos. So a 2L turbo isn't classed with 2L NA cars. I'm pretty sure it's x1.7 for turbos. So it's a... 2.6L turbo.
Last year Channel Ten was shocking. They showed the Targa on TV in August or something stupid. It was months after it was run and everyone missed it, 'cos it was ancient history. Hope they televise it soon, it's pretty good viewing (especially when it gets wet!)
see the pics of the last day?!, they were driving in the snow!
Monte Carlo Rally eat your heart out. :p
I don't think is 4.4L for the GTR. The regulation to be outclass winners need to use a standard car with minor modification shocks, exhaust, roll cage, bucket seats etc. GTR N1 Spec was only like 300hp
Too bad they can't get the NISMO spec :D
thats right, 4.4L for a GTR hahaha.Quote:
