Well you can buy b16a heads at GPC for about $500-$600 .

So about that imho.

if it's just the head that's gone.. then 500 is for a replacement head excluding labour..

not exactly what the thread is asking, but I've seen B16A1 heads (no manifolds) go for $100 on NZ forums..

$100 B16A head plus your old B18A block and manifolds = LS-VTEC... plus obviously work involved and other things like VTEC solenoid, DIZZY, VTEC ECU and labour etc...

It's the top half of your engine. The half that houses your inlet and exhaust manifolds, your camshafts, valves ect.
The bottom half houses your pistons and crank ect. :o

hey what part of the engine has the most power??
if i put a B16A2 head on my D16Y8 will i get a power increase or if i was to put the bottom of a B16A2 on the D16Y8 will i get a better power increase or will i get no power increase just a different looking motoe??

You can't inerchange B and D series head/block they are incompatible.

how come???
so its not possible even if some modifications are made??
