i think black car with carbon bonnet looks horn, its suttle
black cars with cf bonnets looks like the owner doesnt care about the car cuz the bonnet has faded its natural color. LOL

but yeah. those are hOT!!
i think they look sick but yeah they could just look like a badly kept bonnet

CF on black is very sexual, if only i had the $$$ to burn ;)
i've had a cf bonnet throughout the entire summer and always park under the sun every day whilst at work. It didnt fade not even a tad bit.Quote:

i read on clubrsx dat a cop was question some guy's dc5r
why are the front seats (red recaros) not the same as the black rear seats
nice car with the cf hood.
why would it be illegal?
there's a difference with driving an illegally modified car and driving what a cop sees as a defective car.Quote:

paint the cf bonnet whit thatd look sick man
black car with white bonnet awesome
you could paint the carbon fibre bonnet, but theres not that much point doin it? After all if its painted you wont be able to see the carbon fibre, and then most of all, the purpose behind using cf bonnets is to reduce weight? Why would you want to spend all that money doing that, then paint over it and add weight? My opinion
is my carbon bonnet on my EK4.. :)

black on black looks too hot
after painting the cf hood, it will still be lighter than having a steel bonnet.Quote:

well once its faded then do it, i wouldnt want to fork out the money for a new cf hood!
hence bonnet pin should be used ;)Quote:

So what's the point of paint it?
if u want to paint it u should go for the fibre glass item as they are lower price
so is it illegal to have a cf hood without bonnet pins?
for use on NSW roads they are illegal for use as they dont crumble in a crash (as stated above), they break apart into pieces which can be quite dangerous. Pins or not they arent supposed to be on the roads. police dont seem to care too much in most cases though. Thinking about it, so what if it shatters? glass shatters as well doesnt it?

Is that bonnet open to show that its reverse or is it one of those floating ones? If the latter, its certainly not my taste.
hmm.. good point.. does anyone know for sure on this?Quote:

i thought that too, but doesn't cf hoods have a laminate or plastic cover?
Some do. The good quality carbon fibre stuff from Japan is almost all carbon fibre so it does tend to splinter when it breaks as it is a woven material.Quote:

From what I have heard they are totally illegal. But I have several friends in the Police force and they have said no matter what mods you have on your car if you don't have permits then you can get a yellow sticker. All depends on the copper.
i see.. regulations would be different in NSW compared to WA?
its illegal because its not ADR approved.
they should start adr approving the ones with the laminate coating then? b*stards! should do a petition if i wasnt 99% sure it wouldnt do anything lol
can u guys tell me what rims are these?? i am looking for some spoon replica rims... they look just like it if they are spray black :DQuote:

I think the problem with the way CF bonnets splinter in an accident is the effect that this has on the absorption of impact, as a standard bonnet would crumple absorbing a greater amount of impact than a CF bonnet.
rims are regamaster evo's.they are not cheap.
*edited out plug for link*
i thinks its kinda a waste, cause its already black. and you prolly want it more for the look than anyhting else. i would use that money on other mods
isnt it true you get defected because cf bonnets shatter or something? not worth it.
Black cars are the only ones they look decent on
Nan they look sick on RED too!!! :thumbsup:Quote:
