sold my 180sx today..planning to get back to integra as i used to own a Ls..!awsome loved it..!
now looking for a 94+ integra!
can people tell me the differnt between Gsi and Vti?
like power and all other stuff!
anyway can mod a Gsi's power close to a Vti???
cos the money issue!i want get a integra asap but if i design to get Vti need save up a bit of time..! :(

i went from a s15 to 96 gsi, ran a 15.6 in a stok gsi mate. im looking at turboin, or doing vtec transplant later on but the hondas got potential if u spend cash in the right places
differences between gsi & vtir
* smaller brakes
* shitty wheels
* no sunroof
* no rear spoiler
* engines got around 100kw at the engine compared to 127 on the vtir coz ur getting v-tec and extra 5000 revz
* shitty seats
* interior different as in the cloth trim of the seats and that
my suggestion, ur better off getting vtir or even better go type r

You are better off just shelling out the extra cash for the bigger brakes, VTEC. Getting similar power would probably be more expensive than just paying the extra couple of grand I'd guess...
brakes are same size as vtir

But definitely go VTi-R over GSi......dun think its that much more expensive.
2 to 3 gs more expencive for 20kw, 3 gs in a gsi will get u way more than 20kw

98+ gsi didnt come with sunroof standard.

1/4 vs track. it all depends what ur after.
even if i wanted to turbo a honda i'ld go for a turbo vtec.
and even then, FWD turbo will never be same as a RWD turbo.

i think theres a bit of difference in body stiffness between the gsi and the Vtir.. just as theres a difference between the TYpe R and the Vtir.. and i think some weight differences as well.
i actually thought gsi had drummies for the rear brakes.. although im not sure about that =P.. the engine are different.. not sure if there any weight difference in it.. vtir revs higher.. the gearing on the vtir i think on 3 4 5 are different (i think =P) i remmeber only 1st and 2nd gear been the same i cant remmeber the rest =P.. in manual of course. not sure about auto.
i personally like the stock wheels from the vtir =P mmm fat fives..
some people have been very lucky in finding very good prices on vtir.. i think theres a few floating around melbourne selling for less than 13 or around 13..
insurance wise though i think the gsi is much cheaper to insure. but both been a coupe (unless your daddy mommy boy thats insured under your mum of dadns name) will cost you close to 1k unless over 25
i pay 1240 a year im 24.. so thats for a vtir.. just a comparison..
at the end of the day its not which car is better its really what you can afford to buy.
i personally think the vtir is a better base to start on. but theres plenty of gsi Psiiss.. around 2 of them was well GSI PSI.s no not boosted gsi owned by GSIPSI.. neway.. but yeh they were boosted =P..

Yes you are pushing less weight in the GSI (except if your a fat mofo) but theres what a 80kg diference for a 18kw increase. Weight to power ratio of GSI= 10.9 , weight to power of VTIR = 9.4

the way my car is set up atm is not for 1/4 mile runs. the suspension is real low and hard! but round bends and corners doesnt matter how hard you go it does not go off its line.
A race is a race. Doesnt matter if its around a track or in a straight line. End of the day theres gotta be a winner. And if were talkin stock, well the vtec will definately win. If were talkin stock vtec against a gsi with cold air induction and full exhaust, the gsi should get a nose in front. And thats speaking from experience not myth. The other guy was a pretty good driver. Oh another thing. GSI and vtec have the exact same front brakes as me and a mate compared. Its only the type r that has bigger calipers. Oh Oh and if yas all want a 1/4 mile shootout 2 prove yaselves a point, then come 2 calder friday cos im racing mine lol. We'll have a teg battle lmao
