Stock for stock the Type S is abit heavier and has more power, would you notice the difference if you drove the cars back to back not knowing which car you were in.
Im thinking about getting one but would love to get feedback from people that have driven both cars.

Wait wait... DC5 Type S is BETTER than Type R? When did that happen?
Type R has LSD, Recaros, Large wing, nice rims.
Type S has aircon, leather and looks like a regular Integra from afar.
Supposedly the Type S is more refined too, with less road/engine noise.
So the Type R doesn't have aircon? That doesn't sound right.
i would choose the type R (albeit known as a RSX Type S) cos its got the looks for the part.. 147kW can be made to match the Type-S' 154 easily with some mods..
Type S is far more comfortable.... the worst thing from R to S was the loss of recaros and LSD.... they changed the handling by lowering the car, added thicker sway bars and made the sussy softer and more comfortable....
The type S is more comfortable, but more livable, since u own a prelude vtir already, id say you want comfort over raw power, the Type S has some compromises in performance but it'd definetly be my choice.
You dont buy a integra for raw speed.

Type R IMO... Prefer the sportier feel to the Type R in looks... Type S if u want comfort and luxury
i guess... but each to their own...

Everybody thankyou, I already knew that the S was more comfort orientated and I know the R was the stripped down version,
What I really want to know is will I know which one was what if I were driving them without looking at the interior.
I might just go to a dealer and have a drive.
