CUSCO CYLINDER BRAKE STOPPER REVIEW and INSTALLATION

I thought i might do a quick review on the Cusco Cylinder Brake stopper!

Cusco Cylinder Brake Stopper keeps the brake master cylinders from moving.

Cusco’s Brake Cylinder Stopper prevented the unwanted flex of the brake master cylinder when the brakes are applied.

Due to the high forces exerted against the bulkhead under braking, the Cusco Master Cylinder Stopper bolts up to the end of the master cylinder and vastly reduces bulkhead flex which in turn leads to a better brake feel.


I have installed this in one of Ozhonda members car and straight away he can feel the difference in terms of braking.

The stopper is easy to install by taking less than 30mins to install and definetely a must for every one there who wanted a bit more from their car.

I would just like to say that the CUSCO brake master cylinder stopper is worth it for the price.
Well i feel so much difference now when i go downhill at national park my brake pedal doesnt move left to right like it used to. It feels like it just wants to stop now when i go downhills at fast speeds.
I rate to product 90/100.

fitted mine last week. its a good piece of work. brake feel is much better:thumbsup:
now i just got to replace my bulging brake lines and upgrade my brakes.

so can you install when the car is at normal hight? will the A-arm sit right with the bolts removed while installing?

I didn't need to drill holes for my EK1 and I think it's the same for all cars...it's easy as to install.

so all you have to do it undo those blots and fit the stopper on then do up the bolts again? no need for anything else like jacking the car up and stuff?

not sure about eg, but in an ek theres a bracket which holds your cables
the brake stopper replaces the brackets so it uses the same bolt holes but you no longer have a place to hook the cables(perfect excuse to wiretuck yo!)

well in mine, it came with cable ties and i think 3 random holes on it. what am i supposed to do with the cable ties? is it meant to hold something to the cylinder stopper?

installed mine today wooo you definitely notice the increased firmness.

had a bit of trouble taking off the strut nuts.. used a rattle gun for that lol

super old thread, but ive read somewhere that i now cant find that someone with an EG installed an EK/Dc2 VTiR booster/master cylinder and their booster that they used for their EG now didnt fit, anyone know the go here... will an EG stopper fit an EG with a 15/16 or 1'' booster?

probably more to do with their old bb/mc being non-abs(not as big as the abs units)

^^ you are correct that once you swap out the standard EG master cylinder with a larger unit from a EK/DC2, you will need to use a DC2R brake stopper.
i sadly had to sell mine as this exact thing happened to me.

Also bb4 bb and BMC won't fit the eg brake stopper in an eg

alright thanks for that... and does dc2 unit all line up or do you have to drill?

im fairly sure its just bolt in, just need to move the electrical harness but cable ties are provided with the brake stopper

not listed, so i dont think so.

Tegiwa makes one for ep3 just make sure you get rhd version.

Has anyone done this on a kswap dc2?

Doesnt look like it would fit.
