hey guys, wondering if anyone knows much about a Spoon ECU from a EK9, as in what gains it would have and what cars it can be used in.
thanks.

are u asking about the spoon chip?
as in the one in the trader section?
I think he is talking about the whole ecu from spoon.Quote:

few of the traders/oh memebers shold know the gains
its pretty extreme as far as i know :p
Rev limit is increased to 9100rpm, VTEC is at 5300-5600rpm. Fuel and ignition maps have been changed too, as to give you a good circuit tune.
Never used one but I would be guessing midrange would be increased, but max kw wouldn't be all that different.
I would guess that it would fit a EK4 too, may not be the best tune coz of the difference in engine internals though.
i cant see it being any good unless you have a SpooM built engine
i thought maybe the apexi power fc would be better option for the b16b.
Yeah i agree with you, since it is not a reprogrammable ecuQuote:

would it be worth getting one? btw, i'm talking about the whole ECU
would it work properly in EK4?Quote:

This is in a stock ITR. Don't know what i have done with the printouts so you are just going to have to take my word for it.
Butt dyno - improved mid-range and slight increase in top end... i always believed my R revved to 9000rpm on stock ecu anyways, so the extra 100rpm was insignificant. For N1 endurance circuit work (which is what this ecu was built for and not max power) it fares as it should and the price tag is representative of the research done.
hmm.. interesting.. i wasn't expecting kw gains for anything, just more smoother power delivery.
anyone want a Spoon ECU from a EK9?
i know someone selling a spoon ECU for a B18 engine only
think it was about 800
Question has been answered, post it in the Marketplace if you want to sell it
