Hey all, :wave:
I'm planning to buy a set of wheels off my friend and his selling it to me for cheap but the thing is that my ride only fits 4 stud wheels, how do i convert this to 5 stud and roughly how much is it gonna cost? Wheels are from a 5th Gen lude and im want it on my 4th Gen

Thats gonna take alot of work, not sure how much but it aint gonna be cheap. Ask azjas, he has his one converted.
You'll have to convert your car to 5stud
Just buy the wheels that are meant to suit it.
yeh, afaik it's not cheap to do the conversion...
might as well buy some 4 stud wheels instead.

You should consider the fact that your standard wheels will not fit back into your car which may prove an issue when it is time to sell.
You can also get the wheels redrilled. (I do not recommend this either but it may prove cheaper than changing your stud pattern)

I was in the same position cause the wheels I liked only came in 5 stud but in the end just wasn't worth it :) Unless you don't mind forking out however much it costs to get the appropriate hubs... then rotors... (or drums? either way a headache in itself unless another car happens to use the exact same dimensions except in 5 stud... unless you want to wait for blank rotors to be produced which is another headache in itself..!)... might aswell change wheel bearings... that's if they fit directly to your existing setup, ie. from a later gen maybe? I'm not too sure but if you're still interested, it's best to ask somebody who's done it before... but it's definately not cheap. Hope that helps?
Don't bother with those wheels if you plan on doing a conversion. The amount of money it will cost just for the conversion, you can get a brand new set of nicer wheels somewhere else, and maybe more stuff for your car.
yeah dont bother getting a conversion
...just not worth it. just sum up rims price+style and the conversion
its just too much trouble.i doubt your attachment to the rims is worth the conversion

If you can source the parts yourself, if you're lucky you can find a good deal. DIY and you'll save a shload more.
I did mine due to some accident damage and decided to take advantage of the opportunity. More than $1K though if you don't plan on doing it yourself.

i was also in the same predicament, except my 18's were 4x114.3 stud pattern while my lude was 4x100, to get the wheels redrilled would have cost me $127 per rim (they were also chrome so the chrome would of been damaged) and i think it was 200 and something per hub to get it converted. Basically my advice is, look for another set of wheels, thats what i did.
not sure if this had been coverd, but for s13's being 4x114 there is hub or something, i dont know what you call it, and u bolt it on and the other end is 5 stud... thats the best suggestion i could think of.. iv seen in adds in car performance magz....

ahh just a noob questions..
4/100 would mean 4 lugs and is the 100 the length of the stud? and..
5/114.3 would mean 5 lugs and 114.3 lug length?? is that correct.
Also, if u were to do an ITR 5-Lug conversion on an EG and wanted some rims... would u be looking for 5/114.3 or 5/100???
no the 100 relates to the distance between the studs, not the length of the studs themselves.

Those hubs are not roadworthy (if that is a concern)
well i found some info on hubs, apparently they are illegal and not that safe, but i'm not 100% sure on that.
still looking for some prices and etc..
you would be looking at $800 - $900 to purchase the set of these stud conversion hubs.. give j racing an email... :)
if it is 800 to 900 , y would u even bother, when u can have a proper hub conversion for about the same price..

the only thing is , u could chuck ur stock rims back on when u sell, but tell me thats even a concern...

1st of all work out a day with your local engineer when he can do the job just so you don,t have the car on blocks for weeks take your hubs and rotors in and get them re-drilled to 5x114.3. I think on my rear hubs he had to plug 1 or 2 holes up[buy welding them up] then re-drilled them.Don,t forget one of the original holes remains just 4 holes have to be drilled.

there was somethign else i think, but i forgot it was 2.5 years ago i did this :\.
the only problem with rims from a s13 or other RWD cars with 4x114.3 pattern is the Offset of the rims.
put them on your 4thgens and your most liekyl going to have them rubbing on yoru caliper coz the prelude caliper is SOOOoooooooo PHAT
