whats the offset for the jazz
i'm running 16x6.5 205/45
and it's scarping the guard after lowering =\
mine, 17x7, 205/40 lowered, no problem at all.
If you are interested, i am thinking selling mine...pm me if u want for more detail or pics
205/45 is the incorrect tyre size....you should be getting 205/40.
I have 7inch wide rims and it doesn't scrape at all, but I can't remember what offset they are (Could be a +42). That will be the key factor for you, but I am pretty sure that a +40 offset "should" be OK. But that said everyone seems to have different experiences.
If it does scrape, just fix it up...it won't be a major problem.
205/40 for 17 is ok... cos 16" is smaller i believe 205/45 should b ok... only offset must b correct to prevent from scraping..... before i had 205/50 in my 15".. it didnt scrape at all when i was using my spring... but after lowering the car more, the tyres scrape the guard....
i'll give it a try.. im gettin them today..
it shouldnt scrape unless i lower it.. if it does then i'll jst roll the guards or semothing..
hey jus-10 how else can i fix it without rolling the guard?
sometimes rolling also useless....Quote:

It may just be something small, like a bit of plastic or something which can just been filed off.
You will just have to wait and see what the go is afterwards.
Stiffen your suspension like rock hard~hehhe, get a JIC suspension kit, you won't even feel ur car has spring~heheh~:pQuote:

yeah.... If you are getting 17" according to Hyper Rev the offset should be +25 and the tyres used should be 205/40/17. For 16" the offset should be +38 with 195/45/16 tyres. This are the perfect sizes for the Jazz according to Hyper Rev
That is a pretty aggressive offset (+25). You will experience scraping with that for sure! (More like guard damage)
I had +35 with 7" wide Buddy Club P1s and that was bordering on sticking out beyond the guards. (Unfortunately I never got to drive it with the wheels on though)
I am pretty sure that I am now running +42 with 7" wide wheels and there are no issues at all...the tyres don't even come close to hitting the guard
17 x 7
205/40
offset 40
it looks really close to the guard.. have about 5mm gap..
would droping it by 2" scrape?
anyone have simular rims and tyres?
+40 +42 which one sticks out more?
Oh I guess.. just qouting the Hyper Rev book... according to their recommendations. :) I guess they are not that accurate or they are doing this VIP style thing that is so popular there... deep dish with extreme negative cambering and undersize tyres.Quote:

so as the number decreases it'll stick out (+25) will stick out more than (+45)
ok what i'll do it post up picture of my car with the 17" not lowered.. and u guys tell me what u think.
jezzah
tyres should be 205/40/17
I've seen 18s on a jazz, they look hot
I reckon 17" are way too common on jazz now, get 18" and be different
yeh i know about the rims and tyres..
it doesnt really matter the size of the rims. is the offset that'll piss you off.
i have 15 stock vtis rims no problem at all hehehehe :P
lol ofcourse stock vtis rims have no problems
