Hey guys, can anyone with a b18c Type R converted Civic post up their 1/4 Mile times and mods? I just want to get a general idea to how quick it is. Cheers.

yeap very hard to say, too many variable.
I done a 14.2 in a EG.
All depends on driver, shit driver 15's good driver 13's
an eg with a b16 did a 13.6 a couple of weeks ago at wsid
i wouldn't say that eg b16a was stock
13.6 for a EG b16a what mods you got ? Was that time with slicks and fully stripped interior ? Thats a very good time 0hE110, people putting down great times at wsid lately.
thats not ohello's car. its another person's car. ohello was just stating that there was a EG with a b16a that ran that time. and its not stock.
lol type R cams+port polish pretty worked head
X-force header + ECU + few bits and pieces + slicks ... quick run for a 1.6L130+KW atw
paul egb16a was running b16a stock block , made 111kw@wheel.Quote:

just as reference -
last night at WSID i did 14.8 first run , then ripped the rear engine mount with a 55.0 run and then a fianl 15 flat - couldnt keep it in 1st and 3rd gear.
This was EG civic with B18c7 , full interior + other misc bits flying around.
Stock rims + stock nankang rubber with about 25 PSI for fun. Not a bad first run but dam...watch out for wheel hop.
wats ur 60ft time and MPH?
1st run was 2.33 60ft and 94 MPHQuote:

I guess 2.3's on nakang's aint too bad for a first run :)Quote:

best stockish DC2R times at wsid is around 14:3 - 14.7
Gangster! lol... i could only manage 2.1 so far.Quote:

i have no idea how heavy my car is. always assumed that dc2r was lighter than my car.
anyways. my car is stock. and i removed the following items.
rear seats. rear parcel shelf. rear speakers. spare tyre. floormats. passenger seat.
i still have the sunroof. power steering and airconditioning units too
i weighed my car at wsid on their scale. With rear seat out, one dc5r recaro out, no spare tyre my car was roughly 1100.

DC2R - 1050kg
Ek4 - 1100kg
EM1 - 1114kg
Strip every dead weight out of the car.
I got my car (ED9 CRX) weighed @ WSID when i took her down and with me (97kg) in it she weighed 1021kg + a full tank of petrol (35-40L).
Is "TARE" weight "dry" weight ie no fuel or fluids or driver for that matter...??
Daniel don't believe everything you read. B18CR in an EK will kill any DC2R. Even a B18C VTiR in EK beats DC2R's. Of course things need to be reasonabilibe, as in same amount of mods or lack of mods with both compentent drivers.
they all share the same wheel base. the em1 is just abit longer at the back. so that will contribute to more weight. but then the ek4 has the sunroof, which kinda swings the difference back abit.Quote:

from manufacturer's spec, dc2r is 1087 without air con, ek is 1105 and em1 is right at 1114.Quote:

1009kg for 96-98 ek1 gli according to rego paper and red book.
Got my car weighed on the weight bridge today..
EM1 minus seats
1073 KG...
yeah.. i got 14.4
3rd pass ever...
My Eg civic Weighed 980kg.
Update*** 14.0000 @98MPH woot woot
That's probably true out of factory. But after you put in a b18, 5 lug, some recaro's etc, it would probably weigh more than an EK4.Quote:

Man 100kg difference between the EG hatch and EM1 no wonder eg's are quick.
yea u got a point there mang... recaros are damn heavy + all that other stuff would add up, but specs mean nothing u gotta go do it to be sure cos there are lots differences on a modded car to a stocko ek/eg wateva
yeah i reckon if i got new solid CF buckets with no slider, remove deadening, drill some holes here and there, no a/c, p/s
no wiper blades, lighter battery, 4kg rims, remove lower back trim, no carpet, no speakers or stereo, low on petrol.. ill be flying down the 1/4
i thought recaros are lighter than stock
nah they are alot heavier man heheh
Taken from this site:
http://www.dohc-vtec.net/pages/linke...udm-vs-jdm.htm
Weight Gain (compared to VTiR)
Stiffer Suspension/High-grip tires +5.500kg
LSD +1.500kg
Performance Rod & Aluminum Make +3.440kg
Body Stiffening Metal Sheets +1.711kg
Strengthening Wheel Bolts & Bearings +0.704kg
Strengthening Tailgate Area +0.313kg
Stiffer Rubber Exhaust Piping Mounts +0.140kg
Recaro Seats +6.647kg
Front Spoiler +1.034kg
Rear Spoiler +2.900kg
Miscellaneous +1.160kg
Total Increase: +25.049kg
so it's not that much heavier.
there is alot of things missing if they break it down that far to "Stiffer Rubber Exhaust Piping Mounts"...Quote:

that's a very good time, what was the mph?

the mid range pwer in this thing is unbeliveble!!
I was keeping up with low 13sec cars.
i nearly beat a s15, he later crakked a 13.2.
i was keeping up for 3/4 of the track with a low 13sec 300zx and a STi.
The last 1/4 of the race is when the turbos real kill me!!!!!
but before that its such a even race these guys couldnt belive that a N/A civic could give them such a good race.
once this thing is turbo and tuned in 4weeks ill be leaving these cars for dead as what my B18c lacks atm is torque to move at higher gears, once that is solved, ill be the one pulling away from them:)
Dude, you've got a freakishly quick engine. 14.2 with 2.3 60" is nuts. Meaning if you could get a 2.0 60" (quite possible as my friends are) you'll be getting a mid 13 sec pass as is. My 14.4 run in my b16 was also from an automatic halfcut!!!!Quote:

however i ran a 13.9 @ 100mph, 2.1 60ft in my gsi integra with stroked civic type r engine, headders, cai, and hondata on semies.
not bad for my 4th actual run up the quarter :) and the gsi's are a shit load heavier than type r's too!
a little tweaking my technique and softer front shock settings and ill get a 13.8 for sure
on semi slicks that's an average 60ft time... if u get that down u should definitely run quicker
Anyone end up going to TnT last night?
Post results! :D
We done 13.6 @101MPH tonight. Really happy with the result. List of mods can be view in my thread in the ALL MOTOR section.
13.9@103mph with absolutely no traction in 1st 2nd 3rd..
Will be goin back later on with semis to have another crack
good to see another honda in the 13's... good work!
im sure u can get a low-mid 13's pass with that amount of MPH
14.4 in Ej8 with B18C.
60ft was 2.366 and MPH 97.13. That was my 2nd ever run and running without spare and rear seats.
well
i went last night in benaraby raceway last night
EK hatch B18c7
2.5 exhaust
17 rims with very shit tyres and no weight reduction + my fat ass of 148kg.
60ft 2.203
1/4 15.012 @ 90.8mph
now my mate ran it for me and he's 80kg
60ft 2.095
1/4 14.628 @ 92.?mph
ran 14.6 @ 90.1mph
60ft 2.02
the only diff from last time we had
m/t street 205/50/15
x-force headers
and I am 8kg lighter now 140kg
so next month my mate is going to have another run and hopefully we can get into the 13's
and i will have an S300 by then.
my 1st run on EG with B18c7 , dead stock engine ( stock airbox and stock muffler)
14 .01 @ 102mph
60ft time was about 2.3 Ill find the timeslip here somewhere.
dam 102mph
B18c7 eats B18c for shaw
Nice MPH.
