hey guys, anyone have 17' rims on there integra.
i want 17' mags but people are telling me to go 16' biggest. ofcourse considering comfort. but then again. my car wont be slammed on the 17s. :p
will i have turning problems with 17' mags? eg: can i turn the steering full lock?
my suspension setup will be tien coilovers.
what are your thoughts, personally i want the 17s because they look a little better hehe.
i had 18's on my integra and there wasnt any problems dude. If you want big, get some nice 18's and deck it
im really not 100% coz i dont have a dc2 but 17s should be fine,
and i also think low profile tires will be a little harder to find for 16's. again not 100% on this but its wat ive been told so just my 2cents
IMO 17's look rubbish on the DC2 chassis.
I cant see a problem if you dont go any bigger than 205/35/17's. Thats basically identical to the stock 15"s wheel outter size, but slightly wider. 215 I think you'd be pushing.
Another thing to think about is weight, 17'd do weight more. If you can find 17's which weight the same or less than the stock ~7KG Rims on VTI-R's, go for it.
Personally, I'm getting these rims, which I was told weight 7KG.

I have just put 17's on my teg and I am glad that I did. I had so much trouble finding any 16's that I liked let alone with the right stud pattern, etc. I have had no trouble so far with any of your concerns. I am very happy with mine so I would recommend getting 17's over the 16's.
i have 17's and they are 215 on my DC2 VTi-R. Looks nice
IntegraGirl, you don't have a DC2 if you have a 1990 model
i would stick with 15's or 16's max!

I had 17's and now have 16's. If I had the choice I'd still go 17".

wouldn't 18's increase the outter circumference size, hence being illegal? Unless you got 5 low profiles la

I had 17x7 on my DC2R and was so happy to go back to the stock 15" rim. I had slight rubbing at full lock but that was due to incorrect offset.
The biggest problem with 17's for me was that performance-wise the car's just not designed for them. When driving over bumps, especially while accelerating, the steering wheel gets jerked violently out of your hand. On a spirited drive through the national park I actually got a sore right arm from this alone!
At wakefield, the extra inches didn't help me. I was able to match my time on the 17s on the 15s -- so much for "performance" rims. The rims werent super-lightweight but they were pretty light, expensive ones.
Having said all that, the car (all cars) looked better with bigger rims! So if you care about looks over handling performance, IMO go for it, you should be happy with the result. But if you're into track events or spirited mountain drives, you might like to stick with 15" or compromise with 16".

17' is good !dont go 18'
i have 18s with 215/35s on them, can full lock both ways, doesn't scrub, ride is smooth (and its engineered so it can be done legally)
you'll regret it later if you get just 17s
I've had 17's on my car since I bought it...which is almost 5 years......only slight scrubbing if at all at full lock. I have 205/40/17 same ratio as stock...so speedo doesn't go out. I can see what Andy's saying about steering wheel getting jerked...but I steer clear from most of the royal natio rd as its too bumpy....smooth rd and its fine.
Also if your worried about how it will perform at the track...just get a set of track rims in 15 inch like I have.....
and btw...I was doing 1:19s at wakefield on 17s with street tyres on so I didn't really find the performance/handling worse off. Ofcourse semi slicks on 15's are faster ;)
17" or up looks oversized for the dc2, i would stick to 15" or 16".
also if the tyre size is too small, the ratio between the alloys and the tyre looks weird to me
i had 18's on my integra. the car was pretty lowered alot, 3.5" in the front and 5" in the rears.
the rears didnt have a problem but the front was scrubbing alot.
i would say not to lower the front no more then 3.5 inches.
i have 19z with problems need 2 flare my guards to slam the b*tch
anything below 18s i wouldnt even call proper rims! IMO

Gawd... I can't imagine how bad 18" wheels would feel to drive on in a DC2R.
I run 16x7 with 205/45 tyres on them. I don't think I'd go any larger... oh, and to the person that said to run 205/35 17", how about taking a look and seeing how many tyres you can find in that size....
