From what we have seen they will make 60% more power on top of what's there. For the same price you can get a stage 3-4 turbo kit from Edelbrock, Greddy or Drag and make 2-3+ times that of the super chager. Beside the S.C. doesn't have a loud blow off valve. You'll have to have a friend drive with you so he can stick his head out the window and make the pitsuuuuuuuuu sound!

lol i saw a pssssst device on ebay the other week.
superchargers are nto as bad as people say they are ( well to me any way ). the have boost from the word go .... unlike turbos which take time to come to boost..... the only problem is if you want to change the boost you have to get new pully's..... with a turbo all ya gotta do is get a relativly cheap boost controller.
for all that money he put - a k20 would almost beat him
where are you goin to get a decsently priced k20 from???
very rare very expencive and fitting would would be expencive aswell.

theres F all here in WA its hard enough to find a B18c and when u do they try and ripp u of for it
not saying it's cheap but he woulda spent a shitload of money on supercharging etc...
for a 1/4 mile time yonas could almost beat in his egk20a
as i said getting a k20 in WA is not easy.
id have to find one in the east get my car there and all the work done then get it bak.
i know a k20 setup will kik ass but getting it done in WA is the hard part

i thought u just wanted to know how good it was etc....
even then - shipping isn't THAT much
and u'll be paying labour to have the s/c installed anyway
and i'm assuming u'll need to rework ur internals also - so that means more labour
well i havent heard of any1 in AUS with vortech setup in their Honda.
i hear the J/R kits are good but cant realy handle high boost.
but even a J/R kits is imposible to get in WA.
only thing theres an abundance of is b16a's i can get 1 under my bonnet for under 3gs

S/C are like turbo in that you can leave stock internals. You can even have stock exhausts and airfilter etc. Only thinkg you really need would be a fuel regulator. Of course the more power you want the more you have to change.
Anyway you dont need a BOV when your car sounds like a jet! Try finding some clips of superchargers on dynos... Its like a jet plane taking off.
well that capa bolt on kit only runs 6, 7 psi, the 1 with after cooler runs 9.
so i reacon it be safe to run on a stock b18, they can be boosted welll beyond that but, thats why it appeals to me.
i can get my car turboed for 6gs labour inclusive aswell, and get it tuned with the safc for the mean time.
id be selling my header but.

a votech S/C is a nice item. able to intercooler it. but they are centrafugal blowers. same kind of power band as a turbo accept torque doesnt fall off up to. very predictable power.
the torque in the s/c doesn't fall off because it's not there to start with.Quote:

and vtc... only have a to change a fuel regulator? what are you smoking? the stock fuel regulators work just fine, and the boost dependent ones that I assume you're reffering to are the biggest piles of crap to ever be put on a car.
CAPA want $7,250 + installation. You could have a pretty quick B16A, B18C turbo for that with more power. I'd rather the turbo as more parts, more potential, more tuners.
Endyn in the US built Eaton supercharger kits for the B16s, and B18s in late 90s, early 00. The B16 produced 400bhp, and B18C7's created 390bhp. For some reason the B16s out performed all others. But they stopped making the kits which is a shame!
Procharger, and Vortech would be the way to go S/C wise. Performance Pipes up in QLD has started bringing them in recently (ProCharger only) and they swear by 70-75% increase @ 9psi (290bhp). But the long term potential of big HP would be turbo. Was reading about an LS/VTEC in the US that pulled 800+ fwhp recently! Big power.
You can get K20 and S/C and turbo kits in WA the only thing is $$$$, but than again that's how it goes, you can't expect anything for free, and try not going to fancy expesive shops (xspeed, speedworks etc), they are very good but at the same time very expensive, try Garage R (honda specialist), compare to others they have good prices, for example quote for stage 2 cams (jun or toda), xspeed from $4500-5000 (plus ECU) Cypher $5000 (plus ECU and tuning) and Garage R around $3500 so big difference.

From what I heard they told you to come back when you are ready to go ahead with swap, and to bring some deposit money (can't remember how much), Roberto told me that you came few times and told them that you will come back next week but it never happend, also you change your mind a lot, one time you getting B16a second time it's B18C, than third time you are turbocharging ect.
My advice to you is to get it stright with yourself on what you want, than go to shop (Garage R or some other of your choice) talk the price, give them deposit, car and that's it.
I had a eg civic with B18C2, swap was done with honbits (owner Gabriel is Robertos uncle) they did my swap perfectly for very good price, that's how I got to know him, now Roberto and Garage R are doing all the swaps and performance mods but I think they are getting all the engines and parts from Gabriel and his people from Japan.
I service my ITR with them and I have few mods planned with Garage R, trust me I went around few tuning shops around Perth and prices they ask are just too expensive, in my opinon Garage R is by far the best for hondas.
