if you dont have an Immobiliser, then you can get any blank key.
if you want you can purchase a blank key from Honda
i would also like to get a genuine honda key for my dc2 cause i've only got one key when i brought my teg..... do they give u a blank for the dc2?? or wat goes on with getting a genuine key....

You need the red key that has the immobiliser code programmed into it.
THe red key doesnt start the car, but it has the reprogramming code so you can get another black key.
It costs well up in the hundreds of dollars to get another red key and then reprogram a black one.

im after a blank dc2r key , the jdm one with the red rubber ..
anybody know where to find ?
steebs, waste of time.
And the dude has an immobiliserQuote:
This is a Honda Keyblank used on Integra, CRX, CRV, Accord, Civic etc and is used on 90's models up to late models
pre- immobiliser chip in actual head of key

yeah, but theres another dude in this same thread asking how to get a new key cut.
the original guy could take it to Mr Minit or whatever it's called and get one cut.
The immobiliser guy either needs a new ignition barrel with two keys, or to get it done and reprogrammed by honda.
i'm sure member Tinkerbell had a black immobiliser key copied without a red key by someone in sydney.. maybe talk to him about it
u can get them cut and coded at oakleigh locksmiths if ur in melb cost me 90 bux but u dont get the H cover on the key. i was referred there by honda if i didnt want the H cover so i just went there. honda was asking more than 100 bux! 95686344 give them a call if u want :)
I bought two blank keys from honda for a whole $8 each they said i had to take my current key to the locksmith and get it cut to shape...
hope that helps!
wot the hell...$8????? is it the dc2 key or the older version? i want the dc2 one.....hehehe....and my car dun have imobiliser...so its ok...i can use any key......but the dc5 is a bit longer...so it looks funny if i use that...
yes its an older version
94 doesnt have a immobilser
do they still look like the dc2r keys?
no they dont
no immo keys look like old skool honda keys eg 92 civic
