When my S2000 has been turbocharged, I'd like to take it to a track and see what it can do. I have never been to a track and have no idea what is involved and would like to hear from those of you that have been to these events.

Take it for a run before you turbo charge it, then again after to experience the difference.
what track u talking abt? drag strip?
if it's race track, don't worry taking it there, if u have no prior expereince when it's not turbo charged.
remember on the race track, power is nothing if the car is not set up properly and driver skill is limited.
Yeah but still, it's a lot easier to cut faster laptimes, skill level is irrelevant, it's just your ability to learn and adapt your driving technique. Don't you watch Initial D? hah.
I'll line you up with some track days (assuming we're talking about the ones with corners). But it is true that FI makes less difference than good handling and tyres at most tracks (particularly Wakefield).
I do track days with the PRB, Mini, and Ferrari clubs and it's a blast. PArticularly overtaking $200K Ferraris.
Now that would be amusing! But not for the Ferrari owners I bet :)Quote:

Yeah, mowin' not movin'.
It times like that when I have to recall 'Days of Thunder'. Just keep your foot down and it will all be clear by the time you go through it.
That looks like great funQuote:

It really comes down to tyres and driving style - practice will shave off much more laptime than adding a turbo, unless you're already quite experienced..
make sure you have some good tyres at the rear....esp for wakefield
