Racing GSi-PSi at Calder park on Fiday 5th May!!

Hey guys n gals, just posting a new thread because im gonna run my teg 1 more time down Calder park this Friday, providing the weather is good. Wasnt gonna post up anythin but spoke 2 another fellow OzHonda member and he convinced me lol. Anyway previously i ran a 13.8 @ 103mph with the old tired engine n gearbox on 7psi with 132fwkw. This time ive swapped the engine with the fresh one out of my old white teg and the box is rebuilt. The cars on 10psi making 148fwkw. Only difference is i am running on street tread as last time i had semi slicks. See how i go i guess...Come down and watch if ya in the area hehe

Hoping for 12s Hey???

honestly i thing id be pushin my luck if i got into the 12's, Id say mid to low 13's. Lol id be stoked if i got 12's but lol i dont think it'd do it. I dunno...

That would be exelent if u got 12s with only 200hp at front!!!
cause thats my aim when i turbo later this year.

Yer it wud be awesome, if i get close ill get slicks otherwise ill sell the car as planned. But if i cant sell it with the kit then its up on the market 4 ya hehe

sorry i been busy guys but that friday it got too packed and got knocked back for racing. was soo spewin but still got my pass 2 race for free for the next few weeks. BTW what does a stock GTR 32 do qtr mile??? Wanna do some comparasins if u catch my drift hehe

ok um now im getting excited because my car gains top speed over gtr32's on track. Really gotta not be scared over the gtr takeoff cos i should do the catchup.

well cars getting gearbox freshened up so should hav it back by friday and if so then its all go go go for friday :D

i was getting mid 12s out of my S15 with same turbo as yours, and a heavier car :)

how many pounds were u on and was the engine stock? slicks?

wait 2 weeks and i'll bring the civic, it would be good to see how close they are.

ah ok fair enuf. Yer im just usin my 15 steelies wif crap tires. Just wanna make it full street. Dont see the purpose of runnin it wif proper slicks and headlights out if it aint gonna happen on the normal streets

looks like we are chasing different things, if my slicks were ready i will be using them. The way i see it, if it were "full street" trim we would be racing on a "street track" that hasnt been prepared b4 hand. So in my case im chasing numbers, so the headlight, interior will be out this time. The only thing different from last time is the suspension, so i'll be playing with that to try and get the best 60 foot i can.

hey ive seen a few tegs and cicivs racing at calder, definately getting lots more hondas draggin ther which is good to see, will be taking my civic with my b18 conversion there soonish too, i will be going the slicks way tho chasing numbers too plus turbo is the next project!

looks like im goin tomorrow night guys cos im takin the turbo setup off this weekend following :(

i'll see you there, but the civic will be there next week. i'll be with the rx3, SAVANNA.

not going for a few weeks gotta sort out a few things touch up on the eg like the master cylinder and still gotta brake in the clutch and possibly invest in some slicks! prolly try come down next week or week after.. no uni no work! whoo!

What a night at the track hey. RX3 it the wall. what happened with the integra dude? i saw 3 runs, i saw a 14.01, the other two you pulled out, what went wrong?

OMG i was standing in the pits when the RX3 was about 2 flip over right in front ov my eyes. Fkn close call hey. Hope not too much damage was done to that qtr. Watta Fkd up night I had. The car was takin off good than up top was spluttering. First time this ever happened. Was gettin better as was runnin but def lost heaps of power up top. It was fine before i done the oil service 2 days ago. Grrr. Must hav been Crap oil. Yer the run u saw, i bogged down badly at the start and spluttered thru 4th but still managed to get a 14.01. Worst part of the night was the last run i did cos i blew the diff just after take off as i selected second. Lol cant believe i made it to roll the whole 400m.

I was on the start line dude, the RX3 is fine thank god, only a little scratch on the Q. An oil change cant make it run like that dude, you either have a coil playing up, a bad connection somewhere, or your fuel was too low and you were picking up air. What ecu are you running?
