i would go for C's.
Abit $$$ but i pick that over any thing :) hehe
over than that, i go for B&M !
I've had B&M and currently on BC dual bend (EM1).
IMO - B&M is not my kind of shifter. It's too short and straight. I'm over 6 foot and I have to reach to get it into first - so therefore makes cruising VERY uncomfortable.
As I said, I'm currently on a BC dual bend. VERY nice feel. Shift's like stock shifter (except shorter of course). It sits as high as the stock one and because of the dual bends, points towards the driver - it's fantastic and I wouldn't recommend any other brand!
Just my opinion though - so take it as you please. :)
who sells c's shifters ??
i agree with Waggy... i'm very happy with the buddy club shifter i got!! feels great and smooth!
shouldn't you be spending money on fixing your car? or that done now?
hehe ..
sorta .. but then again not really :P
i wannag et short shifter and practice on jack stands in the garage :D
i have a c's shifter...its awesome
that is all
lol brian, get your car fixed first man :P
oh yeah... i heard BC's are good and that B&M doesnt feel as good... thats what i heard though
some people just chop the stupid thing (shifter)
so it makes it shorter.
=/
lol.
hm.. why is this is noob section ?? its not noob shit ...
its a good quality question ..
im contemplating buddyclub and skunk 2 atm...
I'm also chasing differences in kits.
I don't have one yet, and would like to get one with tax return. What sort of prices are we looking at? And are they all DIY? Don't like mechanics playing with my car...They seem to stuff it.
Agreed. My problem with the B&M was also the lack of the bend.Quote:

What sort of prices are we looking at for the kits though? And how long did it take to install? Looked pretty straight forward so should only take about 20 mins right?
takes a bit longer than 20 mins......Only because getting underthe car is a hassle. If you have a hoist.....then prob 20 mins
Skunk2 by far the cheapest and best bang for buck shifter!.. Personally I think you should get a dual bend. Its sits the shifter closer to the driver its the only dual bend out the market I believe.
Im pretty happy with mine .. change your bushings when changing your shifter .. gives it a more solid feel
most shifters for SOHC are only single bend ...
I'm not interested in the closeness of it to me, I can adjust myself. I sit quite close anyway. I like the B & M one, but if anyone has prices on the selection that'd be great.
you can make the ones for DOHC to fit your car..well I've got the stock dc2 (integra vtir) shifter (dual bend) in my car (SOHC) :thumbsup:Quote:

i got b&m in my EG and C's in my EK. B&m very easy to use. Its not that hard to reach. C's is very precise but very $$
u pay what u get :)Quote:

I think B&m is about $120 Shipped And C's Is about $300 Shipped.
single bend are no good, nothing worse than having to lean your left sholder forward to change gear, i modded the original, added 25mm to the bottom and for the 30 mins it took to do i dont think there is much that will match it. The good thing about modding your own is you can make it to your likings.
My opinion.
Andrew.
Only $120? Damn, that's pretty cheap :D:D
C'mon tax return ....
Yuo can buy them a lot cheaper than thatt, like maybe $80 bucks....
I've got a B&M and yes you have to lean the left shoulder a bit during shifting...
I don't know what brand it was (probably a no name) but i came across one for $39 +p/h on ebay, this was a while ago though. It was somewhere in vic i think, but i guess for that price it would probably snap on you during the first shift :(
hm.. i dunno .. ne more reviews ?
i got C's short shifter...
i like it...
put a CTR gearknob and its kool...
but u got dohc different shifter linkages ive heard...
sohc is different i believe...
ooooh yeh...
mabye. not sure... the different linkages...
I run one of them cheap ebay specials. It's going strong; I can't really see it snapping. Steel is stronger than human arms :)Quote:

Suckers paying $120+ for a shifter :D
If I had to do it again i'd definately just modify the stock one to my liking. But then again, I couldn't weld when I installed mine.
