Suspension definitely - EF/EG/EK are interchangable although the EF needs one of the EG arms on each side - I postid the info in the tech forum I think.
Cheers
I am running EK Tokico Illimunas 5-way Adj. on my EG.
EK-DC-EG strut tower bar are interchangeableQuote:

Front seats are interchangeable too between EG - EK - DC
As far as seats go not the same for EG Sedan, the rails bolts differently compared to the hatchQuote:

can EK suspension fit on these? with mods to various parts??
does anyone know if suspension from a Ek hatch will bolt on a EK sedan? thanks
so ek and eg seat are direct bolt on interchangable?
^^^
similar to above... which eg seats fit the ek? is it the sedan or hatch?
suspension as in shocks isnt interchangeable... rear EK and rear dc/eg forks are different
the bolt hole on the EK is lower...
front is but EK doesnt have the brake line holder like the EG and DC have.
strut bars should be interchangeable
dc2 vtir seats dont fit into ek, tried it and one hole is abit further
dc & eg seats are the same. Ek seats have 1 hole different. I know some of the guys just running with 3 bolts (your life)
Suspension wise eg & dc are interchangable, EK fronts are the same but rear are different.
All Ek suspensions are the same hatch & sedan.
dc seats hey... have to hunt some down
the rear will fit, u either have to shave a bit off the eg lca as the fork is a bit different, the lca on the ek is a tad longer so this bit is also different i believe, to make a bolt on fit there are some companies that make custom lca's, (i shaved my lca on the old setup but the heat stuffed the bushing when shaving) if desperate get some new rear lcas that are made for a ek to eg swap.
EG hatch seats wont fit onto EM1 ( EK civic coupe) bottem left bolt hole dosnt line up needs an extra 2 cm... but the eg seat in an ek is soooooo much better =)
Whats need to it dc2 coilovers into an eg?
front straight fit and rear needs the control arms is it?
coilovers for dc2/dc4 should be straight fit to your eg(as long as its not an eg6 as they have dc2r rear lca's stock)
dor dc2r coilovers to fit you'll need the rear lca's off a dc2r or eg6
all eg's(bar eg6) and dc2/4 use a fork style lca at the rear
while the eg6 and dc2r use eye-style joints
thanks vinnY :D
Whats the going rate on a second hand set of lcas from an eg6 or dc2r?
around 150-200$
im using dc2 front seats and ek aftermarket springs
So I cant buy EK Hatch Coil overs and install into my EG hatch is that correct because I need to change the rear lower arms but the fronts will fit correct ?
only difference is the rear control arms attachment, eye style or fork type.
ivan
fronts should bolt up
you can't switch lca's between ek's and eg's(ek's are longer than eg's) but you can modify the bushing to fit
i haven't checked the dimensions before but i suspected if you picked up a replacement bush for an ek you might be able to press it into the stock eg lca so you don't have to shave down the bush
eg6/itr are a different ballgame though being eyelet's instead of forks
im about to pick up eg king spring's super lows tomorrow morning and will be putting them on my ek hatch (using stock ek shocks). Am I going to have any trouble's?
f*** yeah
inb4 wheels scrubbing thread
thanks for informing me, was a little worried there would be a problem since eg is a fairly smaller vehicle but the only problems ive found in research is the eg / ek rear shocks dont co-opperate.
Will be crap to drive - no shock travel.
Depends on wheel and tyre combo, camber settings etc
15 x 7 with 195 x 55
rarely do i have a full car, sometimes 2 passengers but mostly one or none. I don't have enough points on my license to have to worry about hard cornering, this is just a basic daily. Aslong as i take speedbumps slow and swirve potholes my shocks should be ok right? and sorry about the thread highjacking.
thanks for bringing up a thread from nearly 10years ago.
thought id save making a thread that has probably been made in the past
Might still get some scrubbing even with rolled guards but likely only on full lock
I just picked up the eg super low king springs. Once i can borrow some jack stands i'll put them in and let you guys know how it turned out. Hopefully it all goes smoothly haha. Thanks for the help senna
actually dissapointed aye, i thought my fear was going to be too low and scrubbing. Turns out its practically same as the stock height it had before just alot better driving since the car is firmer. Really should've just got coilovers... Eg super lows in the ek left a 3 finger gap between tyre and arch
Something is not right. It should be on its ass
Did you check the part numbers? Should be KHFL-58ASL and KHRL-59SL
If not these numbers then they aren't EG super lows...

I thought EK front arms cant go into an EG because they are differant length so doesnt allow you as much camber then running the EG arm?
I don't care if it can physically fit, but can you run an EK Hatch arm in an EG Hatch and still run as much camber with adjustable top arms?
Ive tried it before and I couldn't.
Which arm are you wanting to change? The lower?
EK lower control arm on an EG. Yes it can fit but i needed more neg camber as the EK arm is shorter I think, hence made more positive camber.
Dunno, cant remember very well, it was like 3 years ago haha, but I couldnt run an EK arm and still retain as much camber as I could using an EG arm.
Yeah thats right, camber is reduced because the bottom of the wheel is being pulled in.
The other problem with that is that you are not only reducing possible camber, but also reducing the front track which will reduce stability
If everyone was an expert I wouldn't have a job, lol...
it sounds weird mate, those springs should and have slammed EKs in the past - maybe shocks are seized...
did a compression test and it still moves up and down nicely. Im just find ****ed... Time to invest in coilovers
