Power Output 117kw ATW
What do u guys think?
is that in third gear or fourth gear?
it probably pays to invest in a good intake and header. my jap spec b18cr with spoon exhaust and injen cai and nothing else pulled 117kw on dynodave's 2 weeks ago.
stock C7's put around 100-110kw to the wheels from past viewings ~
all those mods equate to another 15ish KW atw ? Hows the torque ? pix of dyno graph please :)
mine 96 jap spec type R pulled 117 in third with nothing but a drity k & n filter at ghraham west dyno done by brett
well you can't really compare dyno figures when it's done at a different shop and a different state.
just throwing figures out there man, to hopefully get a better idea of things
doesn't mean i can't add my 2 cents if i'm in a differnet state
no need to shoot neone down
How long is a piece of string? I honestly don't see the point of this thread as there is no other info such as the dyno type, before vs after run, what has been done exactly to the car and so on.Quote:

my stock TypeR ran 111kw at graham west.
the funny thing was, we tried these jap "performance" 5-core ignition leads that came with the car and it ran 109kw lol
Good numbers.
Guys, it was done on 4th gear
Dyn'ed at Insight motorsport Dyno Dynamics
All the mods were as listed....
Will get graphs wen its get the full tune.... there is more power in this motor:)
If them figures where untuned, i reckon it's a quite a decent number. Guess we wait and see what the tune does.
how the f uck are u contributing and giving ppl a better idea of things when u posting ur dyno figure from a different shop and a different place? I am only posting my figure cos I did my dyno at the same shop. don't tell me to stop posting stuff when u were first one to post up misleading, meaningless and irrelevant info.Quote:

fatboyz car yielded a very good result on that dyno IMO. The graph had a nice FAT mid range, and the car sounded very healthy. My guess is it'll make another 15kw at the wheels with the right header, intake and some tuning. Thats a pretty healthy motor.
xtercii's motor on the other hand is a freak :D
be interesting to see that motor with a little work done to it.
JDM freak, haha, i hope mine is the same.
Nice Work M8!!!
Good Power run #'s it's always inspiring to see someone who's got that VTEC Passion! i'm going in on friday to base run my little red monsta. i reckon next week or the week after i'll have all my bolt on's installed and will hopefully have an interesting comparrison.
Cheers,
nice numbers from just a type r motor lol
heheh net soilders.
i think 110kwatw is plenty for teggy/civic. enough to keep up with the big boys
on the otherhand my mates brothers fully stock itr did 100kwatws 4th gear dynodynamics.
with a full exhaust and cai he will surely do alot more.
engines gets slower with age, no biggie
Thats funny I will tell the owner of the VtiR Integra we just did a head on and it made 121kw with a bottomend that has done over 255,000klms.Quote:

because correction figures would be meaningless to the vast majority of members, notable exceptions being yourself, dynodave and toda.
yes, but it would be good if they did post it, so they tuners here can comment. and mayeb give some recommendationsQuote:

We'll see how i go at the creek 2mrw. I was hitting 96MPH prior to the tune.
Good luck with 2moro.
I thought dyno runs are usually in 3rd gear? and 4th for the 6speed cars..
isnt it mostly in 4th gear for 5 speed cars , as the ratio is closest to 1:1 .Quote:

I don't know how and why but it looks like all the east cost dynos are reading a lot more than west cost dynos, I'm not saying that the numbers are wrong or anything but I think that dyno is tuning tool and comparing dyno results (from different dynos) is not the way to go.
Hey man, what does your home made inlet system look like?
sounds like any other induction noise :) its nothing special
117kw on that dyno is good power! well not when u compare it to mrjdm making 236kw on it, but good for NA :)
UPDATE
Got the car retune tonight. Since last dyno run we got Custom built header , made by Dyno Dave and Plazmaman Intake.
After tune it made 127.6kw atw. Vtec was also moved back to 5000rpm. More mid range and top end = FUN.
Thanks to Dave for tuning it.
Dam according to the dyno your using your making way more power than my Boosted B18c....
You must absolutly demolish the new HSV vehicles as i can just beat them..
Easy 12s mate i should have just stayed N/A lol
Only made 120whp on the dyno it got tuned, before the turbo was put on but.
Sounds like a weak B18c hey.
Id be lucky to break 15s wit that sort of HP hey
Theres is something wrong with my car..
Its got gay vtec!!! whish i had got a B18B instead id be able to run more boost and make way more power
car would be out at the strip soon.... Mid-range power curve was ok.... need a bigger throttle body to fix it up...Car feel awesome after the tune...:)
We gain a few kw's down low and some mid range, but the biggest winner was top end where we gain 10kw...not bad for jsut a set of new headers and intake...
told ya the header would work ;)
good to see some solid results, i want to see a low 13 out of that car now...
Has Dave started making headers again or this is just a one-off thing?
Sweet as guys. Can't wait till you get that thing up here ;)
I was comparing our graph and yours barefoot, not much difference heehehehe.
we ran at the strip tonight.
Best run we got was a 13.6@101MPH 2.086 ft.
nice time.
lol.
was a good night even tho fatboyz drove my car n i drove his....
Pretty pleased with the result.... pretty good for an unopened motor :)
 nice one, congrats
yes the swift got 15.0 hahhaha im up with the b16a.
Thats a awsome time man, power to weight ratio of the EGs with B18s is awsome:)
How did u get you 60ft so low???
very nice, was the track dry tonite? thought it would be wet as a lot of the areas were raining...
Congratulations!
I still want to see low 13's though... I hear you've a stock TB on that b18- considered trialling something larger?
Might be worth a shot...
Ahhh...so you guys (Benson and fatboyz39) would be the guys we were talking to last night.
I was with the Hi-Comp Civic.
