what the heck is dose?
After you back of the accelerator when the turbo has spooled up you hear a sound like tutututu which is very loud - i think it is called compressor surge. For some reason it is called dose.
LoL N00B of the year!Quote:

Compressor surge > thrust bearings.
However, the tiny ammount and severity of surge just-off-throttle (i.e. "flutter") is worth it in my eyes; does sound good.
I have never heard of "dose", what kind of ricer tool came up with that term?
'Dose' is a loose term used frequently within the younger European males of Melbournes community. In particular the VL Turbo community. hahaah
Its common for VLT drivers to give other comuters, trees, rocks, children, chicks ..etc ... a "dose" of flutter.
"Drop a cooler" is also another loose and retarded term that these European high cap wearing, 45 degree seat sitting youths like to throw about.
Here is a prime example of FULLY SICK DOSE

yeah keep the flutter ;)
HKS SSQV = good bov, holds a fair bit of boost pretty well (20psi easy, all day everyday) bad thing is that the bov is getting so common and actaully becoming typical.
and i got a GFB Stealth FX = great bov, quite pricey though, sounds like any other bov, its good cause the atmo and pump backis adjustable but just twisting the head (low or high noise) totally legal if u pump everything back, also holds boost pretty good all day every day at 23psi. :)
ill be selling the GFB stealth FX if your interested.
flutter aint good if your turbos expensive, if your running anything like the nissan turbo's or anything like that, then flutters fine cause the turbos are super cheap if they shit themselves. if your running anything like $2k turbo's i wouldnt choose flutter over 2k lol
Monza Ftw!!!!
runnin a greddy type RS
greddy/trust type rs FTW for sure! u should hear this on the nagasaki gtr.... pure shreer agressive grunt...
and dont forget to add the screamer pipe to!!!

im guessing you would get the fine only if done over by the epa, so if you were refered to get checked over by the epa, change it over before the inspection! anyway sounds mad!
Greddy Type S, ran hks ssq for a few days to try it out, but its a POS IMO.
last i heard it was 10-16k fine. only epa can u for that though. so u got nothing to worry about.Quote:

the GFB stealth FX is a great BOV, keeps the coppers of your back as it is easy to change the noise. GFB have released a new series to the Stealth FX....its called the Deceptor pro.....it has a control unit that can be wired to the cabin of the car so you can manually change the loudness/noise of the BOV.....a bit pricey tho....they are above $650 for the universal style Deceptor PRO.
Very true. Once upon a time an SSQV had some exclusivity about it, mostly bought for high flow capability for larger aftermarket huffers, now people buy them cause they "sound pretty". From old tx5s to stock wrx, they're everywhere... :thumbdwn:Quote:
