I've seen quite a few US CRXs with s2k seats installed. They look ok.
Yes, the rails most definately have to be modified.

The rails don't need to be modified.
You take the seat pan from the CRX seats and bolt it onto the S2000 seats which then lets you use the unmodified CRX seat rails. ;)
This works on a gen 3 but i don't know about a gen 2.

they look a bit too big for the cabin..

Saxman just said he's put the gen 3 seats in his gen2 so the same method applies when putting s2k seats into a gen 2.
