Hi All,
I'm new here, where do you buy wheels in Perth? Do you buy from some shops like Bob Jane T-mart?
eBay, bob jane, tyre shops, traders on ozhonda. its not that hard really to do a simple search. just go out for a little drive to bob jane.
once u head out and see a few shops, u'll get an idea of the average price ranges. keep an eye out on the forums for 2nd hand rims and their prices, genuine vs replica prices.
what car do u have?
16" would look good and be practical, but considering your wheel arches are huge, i would settle for 17". however, look for something that is preferably lightweight, or else you will lose performance.
my advice is to finish of at 50% of the new tyres first to allow all teething problems (if any) to come through the new car - better for warranty, and once the car is all settled and has been run in, then thinking about changing alloys.
also, once u change alloys, ppl usualy want to lower as well. so thats a double whammy. stock car with stock sussy and big wheels = look crap and is slow.
i went to bob jane in bankstown near my work place here and they sold buddyclubs wheels!
not a bad price either
teething problems is a general term that is given to problems that happen on new things. i.e. u know when u install windows adn then ur drivers screw up, after a while, things settle. these initial problems are acalled teething problems.
some cars have them, some cars dont (cos theyre made well). stress less.
Take a look at the rims these guys sell.

There ebay name is TT-tyres, but there actual store is St. george tyres, u can find their advetisment in the last 2 pages of autosalon magazine (double page). They have some sexy wheels!
Id definatly go 17"s though (check fitiment issues and offsets with otheres first). they range from $600-$800 for the set, and the ones i have (apec apache deep dish 17x7 in white, 7.9kg each rim which isnt bad for the price i paid, $560+postage) seem great quality, also lifetime manafactures warrenty.
Ive had them about 1.5 years, and have driven over tons of LARGE pot holes, and also a brick doing about 50kph, with no dammage whatso ever!, paint is good as new when i wash em.

Shipping is FAST and they have 100% positive feedback on ebay.
mmmm sexy.
let me see here, 204 princess hwy ARNCLIFFE NSW 2205
17x7 means 17 inches in diameter, 7 inches wide;) . they got a website www.stgeorgetyres.com.au i live on the gold coast in QLD and postage was about $55 i think. take a look aroung ur local area and see if u can find somthing u like, but just keep these guys in mind.
I was on a mega budget at the time, and couldnt find anything i liked for the same price in my local area, they worked out being alot cheaper than anywhere i could find, even after i included postage! $620 all up!
I am going to close this thread for the moment. Plesae start doing some investigating around the forum by searching. Start with 'sticky' posts at the top of the forum - specifically "new to modifying cars" - it was written with just these sorts of questions in mind.
After you have done that please start a new thread (or message me) and I can reopen this thread for you to ask more questions.
