i have a few magazines laying around with articles that can answer peoples questions like difference between intercoolers etc..

as long as you provide full reference i dont see the problem with it

No you can't unless you get permission from the copyright owner. If we said yes - what would stop people from scanning up full car magazines for everyone to look at? You can imagine what the publishers would think of that - lost profits...You don't need to speak to the head honcho - this is already covered in our terms and conditions.Quote:

being a work that is in electronic form, the reproduction is taken to contain only a reasonable portion of the work if:

2) It says for educational purposes. but I dunno if that means its limited to educational institutions.
Hyperlinking is also problematic as this is published material we are talking about so lost profits are at stake (read litigation potential). Unless it falls within one of the exemptions under copyright legislation it is an issue. Scanning and posting it up for the whole world to read is not an exempt activity..Quote:

Ozhonda is not an educational institution and there is nothing in the Copyright act that exempts infringing items that are only open to a class of persons. Sorry guys - it is really no different from me posting up Microsoft Vista for everyone to download. The copyright act doesn't draw much of a distinction between my example and what you propose to do.

Anyway Saves me from scanning, resizing etc.. :p
Yeah it would be great to post up car show videos, magazines, etc but it is just too much of a risk for the forum owner.Quote:
