Does anyone know if a DC2 VTI-R come stock with a front strut bar?
Factory strut bar of course.
yeh it has a stock tower bar
Really cools, thanks for that.
Also most sports car have front struts bar as factory standard right?
yeh, most sport model cars came with stock front struts.
heck even my lux. accord has a front strut. and my mates corolla sx has one too. lol most cars these days will come with them i think.
yes it come with a stock front strut black in colour
Mine is white... wth? lol
Noooooo WHITE POWER!
The DC2 VTiR came with a "chassis brace " stock. NOT a strut bar.
IT connects to the chassis of the car.
A strut bar connects to the STRUT towers ( 2 bolts either side connecting to the top of each shock)
Ok now you just confused me bennjamin.
Can you supply diagram or pics to show the difference?
Strut bars have the "circle" ends on each side - that basically goes around the top of the shocks.
Chassis brace connects jst on top of where the shocks petrude in the engine bay.

type R (silver/black) bar is a chassis bar..
cusco (blue/silver) bar is a strut bar..
notice where it bolts on ?
well it still connects to the strut tower.
lol.
Cools thanks for that pic, one advice though. Your car needs a clean, i see lots of leaves where the window wipers are lol
What are the different effects that these bars have on the car?
I might go invest on the "Strut bar" :D
^^^dont both do the same shit??
try www.redbook.com.au it shows what accessories/modifications are standard on all cars
so one makes the chassis more rigid and one prevents the struts from moving?! ive got the type r chassis bar.
That site doesn't say if the chassis brace is standard...
Either from just connecting to 2 different spot around the same area, wth does it do?
One hold the coilovers for what purpose?
One hold the chassis to make it more rigid for better handling?
Also, it's probably just as false to call a bar connecting the upper shock mounts together as a "strut brace" as it is to call the "chassis brace" a "strut brace". On our double wishbone Honda's, the shock/spring assembly (unlike a "strut" of our lesser favourite suspension design) does not affect suspension geometry, nor is it a structural member bearing any load other than compression - hence why the chassis brace connects to where it does.
Then again, it's all useless semantics. We all know what everyone means when they say it, so why bother arguing.
