How many of you own this model that are around the age
of 20-24..
and have full comprehensive insurance..
Who are you with?

hey dude have a look at these websites and it might help you compare the diffrence ; but i've heard from my mates that justcars insurance is the best for sports car..

Justcars are one of the few companies that will provide a policy on a modified car (Shannons is another one). Best bet is to call up the respective companies and say that you are thinking of buying a dc5r and would like a quote, as where you live, your previous accident history etc all effect policies.
not exactly a 2003 DC5R but I have a 2005 DC5S
agreed value of $37,000
$1150/pa Rating 1 for life.
I'm 23
Thanks for the links Kai.
and everyone elses for your input..
Can't wait to get my DC5R! woo!
Just got mine recently (DC5R 04). I'm 23. Funny thing that car insurance. I'm insured by my company's fleet insurance - for reasons that it covers any driver and it was relatively cheap - $1600. What's funny is some of my quotes (more than 1 driver under 25 insured). Pretty much stock with just coilovers, strut bar and rear swaybar done.
1. Aami = $2000
2. NRMA = $3000
3. Commonwealth Bank = wouldn't insure me at all.
I shoudla checked just car I think. Matt's $1300 sounds sweet. Btw, I'm from Syd. You'll love the DC5R - shame it's my first manual car - sounds like I'll be needing to replace that clutch quick hehe. I'm gonna check just car now - just to see how much extra I paid.
guess what?
my first manual car too!
hi five!
:]
Dude, I can't count how many people I've pissed off when I stall it at the lights.. Oddly enough, I only stall it when I'm queued up first at the lights.
All in all though, the stock clutch is very forgiving compared to other cars I've practiced on.. (1980+s camries, e36 bmw, eg civic with brass clutch - that was hell).
I'm looking forward to my first clutch rebuild. I'd give it another 20,000 kms :thumbdwn:
depends on the area also, i've found to insure just about any car in my area(granville) it'll cost me over $3300 whether it be a dc2r, dc5r, my ek4 or a golf gti. 20 turning 21 in october
stupid ghetto area.
lol its $5000+ for me if im goin to insure with nrma for a dc5 or even an ES civic
im 19 btw
hurstville area
mine is H2P. It is associated with RAA.
I pay 1350 for mine for Comprehensive insurance and modifications fully covered.
worth asking them. If it does not have a lot of modification, then wouldnt be that expensive I guess.
Insurance is for pu$$ies. Real gangstas go insurance-less homie!
Try vigil too guys, my EP3 was over $300 cheaper than the others :)
