Stop rubbing it in :(
Opps! Sorry. :o

I didnt realise there were so many type R"s with such low k's like around 60,000 to 70,000
most of the ones for sale are over 100,000
Nice K's DLO01
thats cos they are treasured and not sold
i've had my type R (02 model - bought end of 01) car for 6 years 2 months and its only done 56500k's
02 Dc5r 67 000
My 00 DC2R = 89,000km
My Gfs 01 DC2R = 22,000km
02 dc5r 130kk
in the first 3months i racked 10KK driving round. i enjoy driving it...i figured what good is it sitting in the garage all the time. vtec!~~~~
I wish I still had my Yellow 'R!
About 2 months back, I went to inspect one owned by a guy I know who works at Dave Potter, Yellow ITR '00 - It had 11,384 K's. Even though I didn't have the money, I nearly considered taking out a loan just to get another 'R with such low K's!
Cheers, D.
the speedo's are easy to wind back so make sure you check thoroughly b4 buying anything like that.
but no one would be stupid enough to wind it back that much i don't think
seen like people dont realy drive there Type R much aye lolz
99 DC2R just clicked over a genuine 104*** kms, and still as strong as ever, only ever drive it on weekends.
My baby is a 2000 dc2r, she's got 54000 on the clock, hmmm, just curious how much would it sell for with that many k's on it?
Late 2000 DC2R yellow, 148 900, still thumping hard as fark, just fell back in love and decided not to sell her!!
Fantastic daily driver while i build up my EG!!
jdm dc2r, 96 spec just hit 68,000km =)
Mate i know you DC5R boys don't wanna hear it, but your car will not hold it's value like a DC2R will.
Debate it all you want, but the DC2R is always going to be the most "pure", "raw" "R" therefore will hold it's value and so long as there are followers like on this site, they will comfortably lapse into a nice colt status!!
i think as dc5r's prices drop so will dc2r's, old vs older
yeh okies, both of my mates bought dc2rs white and red one, white 21k (ehxaust, intake, 17inch wheels) red one 19k full stock, both with low k's 70,000ish, all this 1 yr ago. and for "raw power" hahahaha your living in the past, K all the way mate. not saying i dont like dc2rs theyre f*ken awesome car, but for 23-25k no way IMO
Someone here just cant handle to truth!!!
an i guess your talkin to the ppl who think they will get any more then low 20s for the dc2r..i have 2 agree with u...at the end of the day you're a stooge if u think ur gonna get between 23-25k for a dc2r lol..think bout it matye u post it up for sale at 23k...u think someones gonna pay u 23k..dont think so...u post it up for 25...ur gonna do alot of price drops b4 it sells just my 2c(i bought a dc2r bout a 2 yrs ago with 70klms at 19g...i sold it later down the track for 17 with 110klms..dont get me wrong i love dc2rs id prob buy another 1..but no way near 23-25gs)
fortunately, ozhonda members do not consist the entire population of potential car buyers.
23-25k for a dc2r in excellent condition and stock with 55xxx kms no probs.
i know this for a fact.
but if you got one that was unmolested with same kms for 19-21k, then well done. you got a bargain.
ok, its stock, i have p1 sf's on for looks, and a top fuel power intake. everything else is standard. still have the factory wheels.
its yellow, with the yellow recaro's, hmmm, it does have tinted windows, but that can all peel off. the engine is immaculate. not officially for sale, but just testing the waters, 54k's on the clock
i dont think yellow recaros make a 1K+ difference. they are nice but if i could buy one with the same kms for a grand or two less then i would for sure.
IMO the only thing they would do do for you would be to help you actually sell your car faster if you priced it similarly with other models with the same KMs.
in that case id buy the one with the yellow recaros over one without. see what im getting at.. the other thing with DC2R is purely the age of them. most will turn 8 years old this year remember so they are getting on in a way.
also we all know how much people ASK for them but we dont have a public notice to tell us how much actually changes hands for them when they are eventually sold.
Overall i think that if u have under 70,000kms then realistically if you do get 21k you are doing well. 70,000 - 130,000 then 18k in your pocket and your doing well. over 130,000km then max 17k
remember.. IMO :)
ur all fools if u think ur old cars are worth that much.. especially DC2Rs that have been thrashed and tracked.. and if u havnt thrashed ur dc2r on the track why did u buy one.. thnxokbye
not being rude mate but the reason i bought my type r is becouse i love the feel of the car on the road and also the power it puts out for a NA car so dont think every person buys a type r's to track becouse there are allot of people that love the car on the road cheers.
Also can we stay on topic getting a little out of hand as title says "How many K's on Your Type R"..
NOT how much can i sell my type r for?
whoa, mine 00 model with 135kms
FS: white ITR, 2000 model, 135kms, NO REGO $13k
just wondering if any of your r's are having any problems??
looking at getting one maybe..but don't wanna get one then starts breaking down and stuff.
a bit off topic..sorry
problems occur when a car is mistreated.
im still juggling between getting a dc5r or celica zr.
hmmm
either way.. whichever i decide to get.. im gonna rice it up quite a bit..
do it to the Toyota, Honda's are riced up too much already
Just going back to the previous page (and possibly slightly off topic), I've been looking at quite a few used DC2R's in the last few days and I believe that low KM DC2R's are worth 20-23k~.
Quite a few are advertised now with 100k~ on the clock at 20k~ and 60-80K all appear to be around the $23k mark. Of course this is the advertised price but in my opinion it seems quite reasonable.
^^^^ if your looking to buy a DC2R, there's a member on jdmst desperately tryna his
his taking offers above $17.5k i think and its done 130,000km
pretty cheap imo
Although, i'm probably a victim of the DC2R cult following.
MUST HAVE MUST HAVE MUST HAVE
=D
Hey Mike, thanks for the heads up.
I'm one of the low KM whores though and would highly prefer something with below 100k on the clock. I'll keep it in mind though, cheers =]
