Its a discussion. There is no exact question i want to ask. I want to know peoples opinion on the 2 cars if they were to race over 1/4 mile. That in simple enough terms?
why is there so many variables each car has factory performance claims
maybe he wants to compare the factory claims

i rem my friend's Pulsar SSS v my friend's ek4, the ek4 was slightly quicker
granted that his SSS was a 94 model or something and the ek4 was a 97.
The SR20 is pretty heavy

From my experience, EM1 v's N15 SSS stock for stock is really down to driver. It is however apparent were the bolk of the power sits, e.g the SSS mid range always pulls back untill the rev's clime in the B16. Butt SR20's even in N/A form do respond well to bolt on mods,

In my experience stock for stock with equal driver
EK4 > AE92/93 Twin cam Corolla (16v or 20v conversion) > N14/15 SSS
vtir = 1.6 sr20 = 2.0
vtir does well imho

trudat, i used to own a rolla wid a 4age engine, pulls pretty well for a 1.6L, great mid range, but b16 still wins by a hair id have to say..
was never really a fan of the sr20.. always thought it was quite heavy?
dont know though... but theyre pretty even...
1.6L vs 2.0L and still keeping up is what makes the b16 much more impressive though...

N/A SR20's aren't all that potent... i had a few runs with a SSS at powercruise and ended up fairly even with my D16A8.
both fairly stock.
and yes, i know i'm late in.
B16 > Sr20DET, however if you guys have seen the sr16ve it keeps right behind the type r b16's
