I'm going down this same path soon.
I'm going with a Cusco RS LSD. Not a bad LSD.
Js racing make one too.. currently obtaining specs of the product.
Don't bother with Spoon... they are weak.
try search button or honda tech forum
they probably have more hands on experience with Kaaz lsd.
r u sure that the spoon LSD and the j's racing LSD is not the same?
i heard they obtain stuff from the same factory
if you look at the price for both j's and spoon, they are both 102,900 yen
u wont feel much LSD activated during street drive . it is mainly use on track .
its a great mod, and will definately help, street or track.
Defitnately a great mod, improves the cars turn in ability and still pulls while under deceleration unlike the stock LSD.
Stats on J's Racing LSD for reference is:
Torque: 7-8Kg's
Number of sheets: 12 (in total I'd assume not per side).
For comparisons sake:
Cusco:
Torque: 12Kg's
Number of sheets: 10 each side - totalling 20.
and the spoon?
No Idea... but I presume it's closer to that of the J's racing LSD.
Apparently Mugen is the best, and according to Ben @ Touge Tune - All N1 race cars use Mugen difs?
LSD is PLACEBO effect boys
QUAIFE LSD is my recommendation
ATS Carbonetic, Kaaz or Cusco is what i would recommend getting.
Helical LSDs prevent wheelspin, but once wheelspin occurs (one wheel on road, other on mud), they act like an open diff and spin away unlike a clutch LSD which will still transfer torque to the wheel with traction.
