get a mushroom on ur intake
the K motors were built to have a more constant vtec transition.
a pod would certainly be audibly satisfying but it wont have the same sudden change of sound when the aggressive cam profile kicks in the B series motors...but atleast u got more power :D
Just an Intake alone, Injen for example really brings out the engine noise.
The actual vtec sound at 6,000rpm is not huge but it still sounds like a monster from about 3,000rpm when accelerating, even if it doesnt go like one lol :p
k series vtec is more linear and progressive than b series agressive crossover.intake will help the noise though
i can't hear the vtec transition now with my injen CAI. it sucks in air so loud at WOT that it drones vtec out. :confused: :p
with injen cai i got i can hear it roar at 4000 when 1st stage kicks in then at 6000 its really distincr but not 'loud'.
Anyone here with Gruppe M or J's intake? wonder if there loud after 4k
my mate has a gruppe M. i'll ask him if i can take a test run lol im curious to know as well lol
there's a distinct transition? ive only ever went the whole rev range in 1st gear since the install and it goes through it sooooo quick now i cant even hear the transition/s.:pQuote:

I've heard an K24a3 with an Injen. It's still very subtle.. nothing like a B-series.
K24A3 doesn't scream. It roars... Not enough RPM to scream.
The noise from the F1s are not the engine, what you actually hear is the gearbox, many racing cars uses spur gears which are more efficient than normal gears but are more noisey.Quote:

Yup definately engine and exaust noise you hear from F1 cars. The open exaust will drown out any gearbox noise there is. Listen to rally or touring cars and you will hear the gearbox sounds. Generally being straight cut and no synchro makes for a noisey gearbox.
i was in melb a few years ago for the F1!! sexiest sounds eva!! the noise that they make is AWSOME!!!
ive only got a pod, and it roar under wot and not hitting vtec yet!! i love it!! been thinking about getting an exhaust but i love the induction sound too much... ive been told that my car is really loud from the outside =D
