never go into D2, that's wat i recon. 3 of my fren bought D2 coilover be4 and all having problem within 3 months to 6 months.
oh alright thanks mate
what problems did your friends experience?
i just heard D2 are shit from alot of different array of people. so better to stay away from them.
the bum at city told me it was haunted >.> hahah jokes.
well the title of the tread states for DC5R so if you had half a brain and put the question and the tread title together you would of figured that out.
short fuse? you insulted me first you dikface
anyways if you got nothing relevant to contribute to the thread then get out of the thread keyboard warrior
Well I've been researching a little bit into coilovers for my DC2, but D2's in general seem to have a problem with leaking/staying intact after a short while. Seems like most leak after a few months, they don't really sound like a quality product. I read Tein's used to have a rusting problem with a one-off batch a while ago but now they're absolutely fine, seem to have the best ride comfort/performance compromise.
Have had d2's before, had them on for about 8000km before they phkn snapped on me. Will not recommend them to anyone at all.
YAY!!! D2 and G4 FTL!
Don't waste your money...
Friends don't let friends buy rotas... I mean G2 and G4

lol im just gonna buy the buddy club n+ coilovers i suppose
how about tein......my mate got a set up for grab....
nice how much is he after? im assuming its tein SS? how many kms has he done?
lol im assuming his in melbourne since your from melbourne ?
ITs Tein Mono Flex.....bought it new 2.5k....after $1900 ono...been on the car for few months only....
hrmm thanks for the offer mate i think ill pass $1900 is too rich for me
Basic key to ensuring your suspension will last.....buy Japanese NEVER buy Taiwanese/Korean, ive heard the buddyclub lines are good but not so sure about the N+ i think they are made in korea.
It also depends what you want your car to achieve. If you dont go to the track or rarely do, then ASC(Adjustable Seat Coilovers) are a waste of time/money. Having a DC5R adding some quality suspension braces and upgrade the suspension to Koni Yellow/Eibach Sportline will give you a very noticable performance increase without the harshness / cost of ASC's. I have KYB AGX & Spoon Progressives and the performance is more to be expected considing atm i have the stock 14mm sway and no strut bars except the relatively useless stock front one. Not to mention on the street where body rigidity and sway bars are the best "bang for your buck" as the stiffer your suspension is over a point the less your car performs, as streets are very rarely ever smooth like tracks.
Unless adjustable ride height or Track Performance is of great importance to you, i would recommend a good set of Shocks/Springs.
Kind Regards,
Andrew
Spoony that was great!
Very true.
lol tein SS is like $2100 with 1 years warranty whereas buddyclub is $1700 and with 2 years warranty
well thats how much i got qouted from jdmyard
DC5 Coilovers are so much more exxy than DC2.
I'd go with the BuddyCrubs man.
lol buddycrubs? hope there isnt anything behind that other than a typo lol
