what coilovers do you guys recommend for my dc5R?
Tein SS
HKS HiperMAX
Buddy club N+ or HKS Hiper Max II ( I think these are discountinued though) if you are on a budget.
Tein Monoflex or Racing Spec Damper in the middle rang
Ohlins or Tein RA in the upper range
Mugen N1+Swift Springs if you are baller enough
i got mugen n+ on mine.. handles nice but can be a bit of a stiff ride and annoying at times..
Tein Flex, Buddyclub Racing spec, HKS Hypermax II...
Really depends if you want it for street, Touge or track?
Less than 2k price range you option would be Tein SS, Buddyclub, HKS Hipermax, etc
More than 2k TODA, Ohlins, Hipermax III, Mugen full adjustable coilover would be your choice.
It really depend on your $$. You may tell us how much you can afford or willing to spend first.. Its much more easier for forum members to give their recommendations.
the reason i want to get coilovers is mainly to lower my car. Also to add on top of that a comfortable ride will be great on street, as well as good cornering and maybe track in future.
You should now lower ur DC5R too much.
Lowering it too much will result in chances of damaging ur steering rack easier.
Hey guys sorry to steal your tread but im in the same boat. wanna get coilovers for 1500 - 2000k for a 05 type S. I mainly want it for street and burst down the great ocean road! So where is a good dealer for the products you have listed??
cheers
haha sorry guys just a typo i meant THREAD. I've searched and searched and cant find what info i want bout the coilovers. Has any1 got buddy club n+ or tein ss on a dc5. Looking for a good review.
hehehe, sorry man.. just kidding.
TBH I haven't heard many good things about the RSD on DC5's. DC2, is a different story however.
I'd say to go with Tein Flex... my mate had them, they were nice.
.... nothing now. problem solved.
Zeal, Function X on it's way from JDMland
I've had Tein SS (Aus spec) on my car for about 2 years... very good coilover and nice on the street and around the twisties.
tein flex isnt bad either, you get the camber adjustment for the front...
