I put a bracket on my B pillar bar which works well.
Someone on here posted a pic of their set up which was simply a tripod secured in the rear of the car.Seemed alright too.
Otherwise you can make a bracket attached to the headrest rods on either of the front seats.

I like your set up, I have recaros that don't have adjustable head rests so cant do it that way.
I might try on the C pillar bar set up, any one else got an idea?
i've seen a tiny tripod for inside car perusal... but i'm not really sure how you gonna attach it if you change ur seat to aftermarket one and dont have B pillar bar...
Yeah im happy to play around with it a bit. Im thinking of making a simple aluminum bracket with a thread off a tripod attached, then the bracket attached to my C pillar, its at a good height in my dc2r. Just want it to be real steady and clear, not bouncy.
I used this

i ripped up an old tripod, snipered the top part and slipped it over my cpillar bar, had to use duct tape to make up the thickiness descrepancy between the bar and the mount, it looks dodgey as ****, but it works really well. Excellent solid footage
theres an awesome setup i've seen on ebay if you have a B or C pillar bar.
it clamps onto the bar and you screw your camera onto it....
Becareful you don't decapitate yourself with such a setup
Also, HDD video cameras tend to stop recording because of the bumps and shocks when you go over the ripple strip on track.
how would i decapitate myself dude?
dsp, can you locate it bro???? i'd love to see it because mine looks dodgey as **** man

Heres one that would fit a pillar bar
Here
I just used a small hose clamp,a piece of aluminium and a bolt from another tripod.Works well and cost a few bucks.
Theres already a thread on this:

yer good one mate... ur mate probably does open track days that any noob like yourself can do.. come to a real competative event from state level super sprints to racing where youre vehicle must pass scuteneering to go on the track all cars that go on any track for any event or level of motorsport or racing should have it set-up safely and that set-up looks like you would be in a fair bit of pain if u where to have a accident or even a off where it gets bumpy...
I would be more then happy to go to the track with you and find out who is a 'hero' :p
Here's one of the kits we ran on our track car. It makes great videos but is a little on the expensive side if you aren't a well funded team. Sorry guys, no videos to show, I don't keep them here at home or on the internet.
Wow good to see you back gsr.
Back from the dead.
do you reckon this will fit a C or B pillar bar? or more for a bar the thickness of a cage?

IDK about there, I'm still in the U.S. so these are the people we order from when we don't have a direct connection to the manufactures.
Cut & paste from "Wakefeild Park" news letter.
Wakefield Park has also available In-Car camera’s available from the circuit. These cameras can be used for either bikes or cars and can be mounted inside or outside the vehicle. They use a 2Gig SD card and can record around an hour before downloading to a computer. Next time you at Wakefield Park ask for a demonstration as at under $300 they would be one of the best value cameras on the market.
