Just wondering if ozhonda have ever considered a bike forum? It appears that a fair few people have bikes on here, so why not start a bike forum in the "Model Specific" part couldnt we have "Honda Bikes"? Just a thought...

ive actually thought of this before
it would be really nice to have, but practically, it might be a bit hard to get off the ground
i reckon its worth a shot, it may take a wile to grow and become useful, but thats the way it is
just an idea... get people to post if they have a honda bike in this thread or a new one that way there will be some sort of indication of how many people have honda bikes and the mods could make a decision if its worth it or not
it doesnt matter whether u have a honda bike or not
u can have a non honda bike, a honda bike or not have a bike at all
lots of ppl are interested in them, and lots of ppl would participate in ducussion even though they dont have a honda bike

Yeah, I geuss it just came across when I was starting to look into bikes, and I couldnt find a forum for them on Ozhonda! :O... It doesnt have be PURELY for hondas, just a forum where people can ask questions and those who are more experienced with bikes can answer them.
Edit: Thats also the point, it shouldnt be an exclusive forum for honda bike owners. It should be a place where rookie bike owners, or those looking into bikes can ask questions. So basing a decision purely on how many people see this thread and own Honda bikes would be wrong.

not enough interest on these forums
yeh, but there are a fair few threads about bikes coming up, so u could maybe justify another separate section for them
if there was enough interest coming up for the rest, then maybe they could get their own sections too, but no1 asks about hondas other products
as for boats, im sure there are plenty of forums out their with honda related boat info

We currently have a forum titled "all other models" - this includes bike discussion. If there is the numbers to warrant it , why not ?

The truth is bikes WILL get more popular as fuel gets more exxy , so its a step in the right direction.

not evry1 who comes on here has a honda car, they may just be interested in honda cars

i know a fair few members who are interested in bikes, but may or may not have one....but they will still enter the discussion
I have one Honda bike currently, a few non Honda's too. Bikes are a big interest to me and I would love to help out fellow forum members with bikes in our own forum.
dont u guys think that if there were bike forums more bike owners will join, i kno a few guys who own honda bikes n they've asked if there is much info on bikes on ozhonda... obvioulsy i said not a lot... hence they didnt bother signin up.
I found this site thru google when i was searchin for info on integras, im sure a CRB owner could b lookin up info on his/her bike n come across this site too.
ive brought this up in the mod section for discussion , keep the interest up here too
just do it, make a section for honda bikes and scooters. as u said they are only going to get even more popular as fuel prices rise.
if it doesnt take off after say a 2-3 month trial get rid of it, no harm done
there are no really good honda bike forums out there so it could build a void if we can snag a few riders

Since it is OZ "HONDA" and a bike subforum is on the cards maybe it could expand to subforums for lawnmowers,outboard motors,generators etc.

I have a honda lawnmower too, mite be an excellent idea. they are so problematic ill probably need some sorrt of support
the lawnmower and other honda products dont have enough interest to warrant a new subforum
IMO, bikes get talked about ALOT in here, so another subforum would work
if they are honda's, and this site is ozhonda, then why not. honda bikes are very popular, and could even attract more sponsors.

I've spoken to the other mods and we might look at trialling a new sub-forum. I'll most probably get this done on the weekend when I might be doing an upgrade.

Update:
I've just setup the Motorbike forum. Sorry for the delay.......it didn't get done when the upgrade was done due to delays with the upgrade. The new forum will be trialled for 3 months to see how it goes. If it doesn't take off...then we will have no choice but to scrap it and move all the threads to the "Other Hondas" section.
If you'd like it to stay......then get some of you Honda bike people posting in it :)
EDIT: Post any feedback/comments in the thread I've just created in the Announcement forum.
