no one has pics?
17 inch is too big for DC2. Don't do it!
This is all I could find:

If the owner of this car wants these pics taken down let me know.
They are too big!!! Might as well get Dolces...
It's a forum.. he can get my opinion. If he doesn't want opinions... then he shouldn't post on a forum. He doesn't have to listen to me. They are nice wheels, but for a DC2R come on...
http://www.fwt.net.au/store/images/P/bg_dc12.jpg.......................... Dolces anyone?
^ seent hat dc2r before
imo it is pretty big
and low profiles
looks like a 4wd
yeah dude too big. the standard jdm dc2r 8-spoked ones ftw
G-Vtec has some on his black DC2R. Hopefully he sees this thread.
i had 17inch Work rims on my DC2R once and took it off after 2 hours. It does somewhat affect the car's performance....
But they do fill up the guards nicely :)
I love it when someone tries to be differant on this forum/in the honda scene (read: not JDM) and people says its crap and "ruins" the car because they aren't the most expensive light weight parts... come to think of it... when was the last time half of you people actually took your car to a track to use your "uber expsensive light wight" parts.
Get over it... gees.
A month ago. Next one is in 2 weeks. But that's irrelevant. You don't neeedddd light weight parts. Too wide tyres / rims, and too low profile tyre won't make it a better ride - it'll change the way the car handles, most likely for the worse. But hey, if you want to be unique (Some people think they are being awsomely Unique, I saw a stock black R34 with chromes... number plates "Unique" - How so? - LOL) go for it.
The point i'm getting at, is... it's a Type R. Why go throw 17's on it. If you want to put big wheels on a Integra, go get a Vti-R or GSi. I'm not saying Type R's are the shit or anything, it's just that people would kill for one, and use it for their intended built purpose. Just an opinion... *Flame suit on*
stock 15 inch rims are the best for the car, jdm 16's are ok if you want the look but15's are better for performance
I know you visit the track as i have seen a few of your threads about it, and it wasn't directed at you.
Basiclly my rant was more in general... and not just at wheels or this thread. The fact that if someone was to come on here (Ozhonda) and ask a question (such as this thread) everyone jumps onto the "unless its JDM/track it's shit" bandwagon.
The thread starter asked for pics of what the rims look like on the car, not how it'll perform or ruin the ride. I know when I was looking for rims for my car I had a read about what has worked with other peoples cars, and i'm sure the thread starter can do the same if he is that worried abotu it. Like most of these threads, it just kinda gets annoying when a group of people all say the same thing when all it takes is one or two people to say something.
Basically my rant comes down to there seems to be more and more people that are almost going mod for mod with others and there is no "uniquness" about the scene anymore...
I understand exactly where you are coming from. But it's quite easy to make a car look unique. I know people hate my wing, yet, I love it... so it stays on. But that's beside the point...
It's just that alot of people are new to modifying (i'm a tad of a noob myself). Some people don't know the implications of mods, and what they will do to the car. I dont know if the guy wanted to here about the implications of the larger wheels, or if he just wanted to see pics. But i'm sure this thread would have given him more to think about. I know if I were in his shoes (a few years ago I was) I would have a second think about putting 17's on my DC2. But if he wants to go ahead with it - i'm sure everyone will respect the decision.
Ive had 19'' 'VAULT' Chromes on my car, Terrible Terrible weight to steering spoils the lot, jumping down to from 19 to 17 then to 16's ..16's are the best =]
Like i said, the 17's Work rims were on my car for just 2 hours before i swapped them for 16's :)
Personally, i am all about car's handling and performance and a DC2R is exactly that.
wow... interesting responses...
from what i recall, i only asked for pics - not opinions about 'handling' / 'performance'...
anyway seriously guys, they are 'honda DC5R rims' not some shitty chrome useless rims. And considering the jdm dc2r came with stock 16's, i don't see how 17's would be so detrimental to handling... from what i know, a shit set of tyres & an extra passenger would make the handling worse - no? its not like you can drive so fast on the roads to really appreciate the type R's setup anyway (and i haven't been on track - and don't see myself going any time soon).
anyway thanx for the pics chargR- i was hoping for a more side on view to really see what they looked like...
17's is much worse then having an extra passenger IMO. However... having a good set of tyres is very important. But, are you going to be stretching tyres, and having heaps of Neg camber to put the 17's on. This is what will give you shitty handing.
There are some roads where you can enjoy the Type R's, or any cars characteristics on the road (at speed limit) - OPH, and some mountain passes.
i agree with VTEMACHINE regarding shitty handeling, as i had fn2 civic type r 18's on my dc2r and it handled crap, it looked good for show, but not good for anything else....
but hey lets give the guy a break, if its what he likes then go for it and enjoy it
i have had fn2r 18s on my car to big i had to use spacers cause i was scruubing then i went down to honda accord euro two spoke wheels 17 inch they werent to bad for handling and they were light to but still on full lock got rubbing without the spacers, then went down to the 15 inch aus spec wheels thats when u really feel the performace of the acutal car and the real potentioal of the actual vechielce at the moment im running jap spec 16 inch on my car still handle like gold but rubber is low so ill be going back to the 15 inch , u will notice a dramtic change in power n handling with bigger wheels
