DC5 R Offset specifics

Can some of you guys play around with it and let me know what ends up being the closest to flush for the dc5 Type R

For example
Stock DC5 R 16x7 @ +45
(AUSDM)

If an 8 inch rim @ +45 is used we get,
-Inner clearance...13 mm less
-Outer position..extends an extra 13mm

If you guys can punch some figure in on the calculator of what you currently have on your car and let me know where the limits occur, eg where it becomes flush with the guards. For example, if someone has an 8 inch wide rim at a +45 offset and it's flush with the guards, ill know the above figures are the limits. Assume camber to be 0 for now.

The point?
Im trying to find out what rim combo/offset best fits the car and ultimately best fills the guards out.

anything that extends the outer position by 20-25mm will be flush.

eg 17x7.5 +30, 17x8 +35, 17x8.5 +40

if you run a bit of camber, say -1.5 to -2 you can run a slightly more aggressive offset.

Now just to be sure...are the guards more accomodating in the rear...or will both wheels sit up the same front to back..?

The rear will probably camber in naturally when lowered to help with clearance id presume.

YES THAT TRUE.. my offset is a huge and noticeable difference, from my front and rears..

If this is the case, i may look at staging them..or bolt on spacers...

By the way, what rims are you running, width offset etc..

And does the rear appear to sit in further?

with the same amount of camber, the rear appears to sit in slightly more.

but u would run more neg camber in the front anywayz so it doesn't matter

i run 17x8.5 + 40 in the front and 17x7.5 +30 in the rear and it's pretty flush

Have you got any pics you could put up to show it?

Also what specs are you running?

Like camber etc and do you have a camber kit for the rear to square it up?

yes they both on the forum...and those are their nick too....try pm them.....Also ChargeR....they can tell you every bit of offset.....coz they are crazy about it :p
