I thought the frequency of the TSX remote is different to the one we have here in Aus?
$150 just for a key that acts like a switchblade.
really its just 150 for a button and a spring.
not my cup of tea but each to their own!
These type of key would last long for me... I will keep springing it on and off (sub-consciously) when bored and the spring going to break or pop very fast.
Oh i was just trying to say it could be cheaper than $150
this is the tsx key
this not just a key you also get panic button and also lot better in quality than the the standard key or the switchblade mod that u can buy form sydney seller
where to buy

the only thing you should worry about is the FCC and IC numbers if it matches its then no problem sometimes your lock would work but wont start the car then you have to take out the immobilizer bit form your old key and put it into Ur new key
The FCC ID for this key is MLBHL1K-1T. The IC number is 2500A-HL1K1T.
main thing key less entry is different thing so there are two parts
1.door locks and key less entry
2.immobilizer bit for the car
but as pesad42 said, he is using it right now, right? so the id and ic number donesn't matter anymore.
However, I got a story to tell.
I bought a 07TL switchblade key from ebay (look exactly the same as pesad42's) I got it cut and programmed the immobilize chip by dealer, however the frequency of the key is NOT same as our AccordEuro, so the remote function CANNOT be use.
I think the door locks and keyless entry are different part as well.
coz i could unlock and lock the door, but keyless entry

oz honda's original key
i really don't like the left (non-oem) flip key, the blade is perpendicular to the handle instead of parallel, which makes it extremely weird when you turn to ignite the engine.
just made payment on that item pesad42... this switchblade better be worth it
no i got the new key (chip) to work with the car u can add up to 3 keys after that the 1 key will be erased
important links
how to remove the chip

how to program the key (key less entry) does not include the immobiliser progaming
Transmitter Programming
Storing transmitter codes:
The codes of up to three transmitters can be stored into the keyless receiver unit memory. (If a fourth code is stored, the code which was input first will be erased.)
NOTE: It is important to maintain the time limits between the steps. Make sure the doors, the hood and the tailgate are closed.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Within 1 to 4 sec, press the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the keyless receiver in the power window master switch. (located by the driver’s window switches)
3. Within 1 to 4 sec, turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Within 1 to 4 sec, turn the ignition switch ON (II).
5. Within 1 to 4 sec, press the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the keyless receiver in the power window master switch. (located by the driver’s window switches)
6. Within 1 to 4 sec, turn the ignition switch OFF.
7. Within 1 to 4 sec, turn the ignition switch ON (II).
8. Within 1 to 4 sec, press the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the keyless receiver in the power window master switch. (located by the driver’s window switches)
9. Within 1 to 4 sec, turn the ignition switch OFF.
10. Within 1 to 4 sec, turn the ignition switch ON (II).
11. Within 1 to 4 sec, press the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the keyless receiver in the power window master switch. (located by the driver’s window switches)
12. Confirm you can hear the sound of the door lock actuators within 1 to 4 sec, then push transmitter lock or unlock button again, or the code will not be stored.
13. Within 10 sec, aim the transmitters (up to two additional ones) whose codes you want to store in the keyless receiver, and press the transmitter lock or unlock buttons.
Confirm that you can hear the sound of the door lock actuators after each transmitter code is stored.
14. Turn the ignition switch off, and remove the key.
15. Confirm proper operation with the transmitters.
good choice i had a mazda 3 before this it is really easy to carry this key in ur pocket and also better looking with the added advantage of the panic button
Also i changed my 4300k hid to 6000k hids it look great and also converted the H11 fog lams to 6000k hid i will post some pics tomorrow
sherran
will this work with my 04 euro!!!! if so i am going to get one
Pesad42 do you have a CU2 or CL9 euro?
i think they are sold out
the mod looks good but for 150 buks i rather spend the money on other parts :)
you can get the key cut for $20! thats how much i paid. i dont know why you guys have been charged so much!
Sydney south..the lock smith is on Bay Street Brighton towards the rockdale end. he does programming as well. if you get it done through him it will probably cost no more than $50 (cutting and programming). it took him 15 minutes to cut the key so no need to wait a day or a week like some others have experienced.
im in!!! :thumbsup:Quote:

Anyone in sydney wanna buy the key together~? For cheaper Shipping and programming(immobilize chip) PMPM~
its not on the website anymore? i searched ebay and could only find ones that were 70+
so the CL9 switchblade might not work?
So how much $$ all up are we talking here from buying the switchblade to getting it cut, programming etc.Do all the features work such as remote boot release, remote door lock/unlock and so on on/
I'm getting a bit confused now. Just to be clear, can you please confirm:
1. Does this work with CL9?
2. Does the remote door opening & closing still work on CL9?
3. Does the remote boot opening still work on CL9?
4. Does the immobiliser still work on CL9?
5. Does the panic button on the new switch-blade key work on CL9?
6. Does it matter if you buy mem1 or mem2 version of the key (as long as FCC and IC numbers match with what you said)?
Can you also please confirm the process:
a. You get the switch-blade blank key.
b. You get the key cut at locksmith.
c. You program the remote (yourself or dealer).
d. You program the immobiliser (dealer).
e. You do not need to take the chip etc from your existing key to make this new one work.
did you check the FCC & IC ID's? if they match then you shouldn't have a problem....
as for xsite85 you're probably going to have to be our guinea pig :p
what was your FCC and IC ID if you don't mind me asking...i have the 07 Accord vti and i was thinking about getting the key
i just looked around...for those CL9 and CM5 we can't use what pesad42 used...
we need the Acura TL Key. Product Number 35111-SEP-306 if you can find it let me know :D
Where can we check the FCC and IC ID? there's nothing at the back of my key. I called the dealer but the person who answered didn't even know what FCC/ic id all about, he was just saying about a range of frequency etc (I didn't note down) which by the way making me even more confused :(
let me briefly explain
FCC/IC ID is located inside your remote on the sticker
Memory 1 & Memory 2 is basically your key memory...
Driver key = memory 1
Spare key = memory 2
Acura key can be programmed to be used with memory 1
hahaha we'll see
did you fcc and ic numbers match up?
are you gonna program it yourself?
cuase if you are..you need the key cut first then you can program it.
open up on your key...and it should be on chip that falls out.
and see if you can match it with:
FCC: MLBHL1K-1T
IC: 2500A-HL1K1T
bugger i guess i have to spend that $20-$50 on getting the key cut
i'll find out for you tonight.. after i get my mugen grill insided
I thought pesad42 is using the key at the moment, right? pesad42: please clarify for us~
yeah its not that hard.
two second job
http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/8...1516vz9xe0.jpg
yeah no worries...tell me what it is i wanna know too...to see if its the same as mine
my switchblade key is different from pesad42's, mine is TL key, pesad42's is TSX key
they look the same~
Soonest (I mean fastest) way to find out now~ Could pesad42 please post a snap shot of his original key?
Any other CU2 owner could help us as well~
like the following, this image is our accordeuro (CL9) original key's
http://members.iinet.net.au/~johnnytam/cl9/key02.gif
if the frequency and the id is the same as the pic above, it should work on our "CL9" as well~
since pesad42 haven't replied...
my TSX 07-08 key is posted today or tomorrow from the states
i'll give some feedback for our CL9 owners
anyone know a good place where i can get this key cut... please detailed address in sydney
FCC: ID OUCG8D-380H-A
IC:850G-G8D380HA
im trying to source an Acura TL key..cuase apprently thats compatible with mine.
if it is..then it should be compatible with CL9.
Thanks longers. However, the TL key may not work coz johnnyofhk has the TL key and the keyless function does not work. Johnny correct me if im wrong.
yea, that's correct, the immobilize chip is same as our cl9's, however, the frequency is different from our cl9, accordeuro
the pic below is the TL key
http://members.iinet.net.au/~johnnytam/cl9/key01.gif
last time i check, the TSX key is not made by OMRON JAPAN, so i think it may not work on our accord euro, however, someone said it could use on the CU2, so it may work on ours, is there any CU2 owner could post up their key's chip?
Here's a pic of the Australian CU2 stock key.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...k/63be8144.jpg
It seems that this one has the same FCC ID and IC codes as the TSX (CU2 TSX anyway).
can we mix the CU2 remote and add our CL9 key to it?
is that possible?
I think that's what people normally do - take a switchblade template, take the chip etc out of their AU key and put it in the switchblade template. This works with non-OEM ones, I'm not sure about Honda OEM switchblade.
I was really interested in getting in on this, but I don't want to "break" my existing key to get a switchblade.
Has anyone checked if Honda Japan sells switchblades over there? Would that maybe match the frequencies etc of our AU car?
hahaha thats an idea that i went for. except i didn't go for the japan one.
i went for the ebay one. and its shocking :thumbdwn:
in order to make it work, i have an idea. For example my TL switchblade key, the remote keyless entry doesn't work because of the frequency is different, so maybe I could install an alarm system which using the same frequency(3xxMhz, NOT 4XXMhz) as the TL key, so i could use the buttons on the key. is it possible?
