same, i need to get new brake pads for my dc2r too. i hear project mu and endless brake pads are pretty good for daily or race. (correct me if i'm wrong)
the brands you listed above, or any non oem pad will not satsify your requirement of low dust...
i've got Ferodo DS2500's with slotted DBAs and Elf fluid, and yyeh it pulls up unbelievably well, but more dust than a timber mill
Endless SS-M's! Best pad for STREET, and litrally NO dust.
Alternatively... Endless SSS. Great street pads.
Ben from Touge Tune gets me the Endless pads. Cheaper than majority of places out there. If you are actually serious about them. PM me, and i'll get you a price. I forgot how much I bought mine for.
I only use Endless pads, and swear by them. Much better than Project Mu and all that. Dixcel pads are very good also. I can do you a better price on the Dixcel's. Dixcel bought out AP racing, so the pads are effectively AP racing pads :).
Ummm CC-X aren't a good match up on OEM rotors. They are very abrasive. They heat the rotor alot, and MUNCH it. I wouldn't use a Carbon Ceramic pad on a steel rotor, but that's me - I just don't like the feel.
theres also a set of cc-a on ebay for $390 for F&R
is that how much they tend to go for?

AFAIK they are the replacement for CC-X. They are a carbon ceramic pad. They will chew your rotors!
SSS is my choice for the budget conscious..
Had no problem with them on trackdays too.. My wheels would lock up every now and then even with semi-slicks, albeit rather old and hard semi-slicks
i had a set of SSS in my car and didnt really like them, i could get them to fade in the touge and just didnt have much initial bite but the on brake control was quite nice.
im now using ProjectMu LevelMax 500 and they have much better bite and better control.
Project Mu Type NS, was told hardly no brake dust, daily street brakes.
Yeah it's true the SSS's can fade a little. Use a good brake fluid and you'll be fine. They are street pads. I don't like Project Mu pads, god damn noisey!! Endless have the best control IMO. AP are also very good.. .but so freaking Exxy! That's why Dixcel is good. Cheap price... same quality as AP Racing.
so it seems like noone disagree with the ss-m?
can vtecmachine PM where i can order these from and for how much F&R
just keeping in mind that these are for steets.. but because my wheels are white i want next to no brake dust
thanks dude
in regards to endless pads, pm Ed from MAX-HONDAPOWER, he's a trader on OH and is offering endless pads at a special price
Tanabe street pads
Feredo DS2500. Works well on street, no need to warm them up to get a bite. No fade on the track. Been using it for the last 6 trackdays still 50% meat left. Around $250-$300 for fronts.
any good brake bad will make lots of dust, its actually the mark of a good pad. So dont worry about dust and just get good brakes coz you need em
Winmex sport, (i think thats what they are called) are actually quite nice.
More feel, a tiny bit more dust then OEM pads but like the OEM, you don't need heat in them to get them to work.
Will withstand light track work too.
They were around $200 for the pair but that was at about a year ago.
Im using EBC redstuff, pulls up well except that there is dust... everywhere.
