Hello Everyone
I Have a 2006 Civic Vti Auto
I have been pumping BP E10 Petrol , Iam only getting 380km or so to one tank. Does anyone get around the same ??
I have search other post and nothing on E10...
E10 is suppose to get u slightly less km per ltr
its been said in a few fuel threads
i'd say this is quite normal
but i'd thought u'd get more fuel out of an FD
depends on how u drive etc
are u calculating it properly?
how much ltrs u filling up with 380km on clock?
What is your mileage when you use regular 91 RON?
i used to pump V Power. used to get 420 -450 km/full tank
btw, just wondering actually which brand of fuel is better?
i choose V power coz i get the receipt from coles .. :P
everyone has their own preferences
shop around with different fuels
see which one ur car likes best
ie. runs smoother/cleaner
Im getting around the same and my car is auto as well. I've only done under 3,000kms. I do alot of stop and go driving, all under 10kms at a time so that explains it.
I've tried E10 a few tanks before and have notice Im getting less kms per litre with the above same condition so by the time you work it out Im only saving around $3 bucks every tank so I've decided to stick to premium fuel from now.
I have an 08 Sport manual and I run it on E10. I certainly don't grandpa drive and I'm getting 450km out of a city tank and 550km if I have a couple of freeway runs. I rarely use aircond though, would this effect it this much?
That is going from full to fuel light.
I drive a 2008 FD1; I get a fuel consumption of about 8.5l/100k shuttling around town. That theoretically works out to be about 580ks if I drain the tank dry, but I rarely go past 3/4 empty.
Someone smack me in the back of the head if I've got this wrong, but E10 fuel has less energy density than your 91 RON, so you have to chug more fuel to get the same power output.
They don't market E10 for being fuel efficient, they market it for being environmentally friendlier as, on a per-litre basis, you're using less fossil fuels. A pity that you have to chug more litres to go at the same pace provided by normal fuels.
normal unleaded
mine close to 600km full tank, vti
i drove it untill the red light came on
I travel up and down the mid north coast regularly and as of late been experimenting with different types of fuel.
Here are the average results......this is from a F22B CD5.
E10 - 480 - 500km max to the tank
ULP - 550 -580km with no noticable difference in PULP
It is a very noticable difference and if I calculate the consumption vs cost, I'm better of filling with ULP.
But every car responds differently I suppose. Just have to try it yourself!
I know nothing about fuel lol but I use the coles voucher a lot so I get my fuel from there. I know the green unleaded is for older cars, I usually use the yellow colored 1 haha. I just got the car, I'm guessing I should start using that V Power petrol? thats the only 3 choices I got lol that I can see
v power wont change your car performance,
its only help keep your car injector clean
i just use unleaded anyway, who cares, if start clogging in couple years,, i just send the injector to the shop, reclean
correct about the fuel density - takes more to make the same power as normal unleaded.
Opposite of say 98 RON which uses less fuel to make the same power
here are a remarkable set of figures for an 06 FD1 auto using nothing but standard unleaded (91RON). 50,073kms - 3390.24 liters.........use your calculators
