Hows the fuel comparison between the civics and the integra, would the civics be more fuel efficient.. if so by how much.
1.8 vs 1.6
honestly man
not much diff. depends how u drive
probably like .5 ltrs per 100kms diff.
dc2 is right.. civics may or may not better fuel efficent nor integras.. depends on how u drive it... u drive it slow civcs are good (lighter then integras i believe).
search dulma on youtube if u want some answers dde. its 4DLULZ
On average, CXi and GLi's are definitely more fuel efficient.
From my experiences with these cars, city driving, the civics can pull around 500ish kms to a tank where as the GSi has a much lower average, sitting on close to 400ish to a tank.
500? im barely making it to 400km's on my civic GLi and i drive it lightly
If civics are 400ish average is gsi.. about the same? what about auto for both?
this is interesting. Horses for courses....
i have a CIVIC eg with a integra motor (1.8) and get 700 from a tank hwy driving or high 500-600 around town. There is multiple factors that determine this output....but generally the higher capacity the higher fuel consumption. Not much tho it is dependent on your RIGHT foot :)
my ej gets 450ish on 40 litres... thats with vtec engaged
i get on average about 32L / 400KM and thats me hammering it on my EK GLi, i have managed to do 30L/400km if i am gentle
Yea it can be done, i average 500Km in a tank on my Civic GLi
you have to up keep the car, don't use crap oil n etc...
i have only reached 500 once with a lot of it hwy driving. I keep my tire pressures in check, (32 on front 30 on back according to the sticker), new air filter, new fuel filter, oil change and new oil filter and new spark plugs 1000km ago, and i dont hammer my car around, i usually granny drive. Anything im missing?
when i had gli get 520-530kms easy
in b16a2 get 490-500 as well
1.5krpm shifts ftw
Will also depend on fuel you are using, additives etc etc
ive been using normal unleaded from shell, are you guys using BP ultimate to get those figures?
im lucky to get 400 in my dc2r... thats not hammerring it everywhere, but not granny driving either, its too damn hard to granny dirve it smoothly with the flywheel and clutch
How much fuel difference is driving from an auto vs manual?
sourced from redbook.com.au
For argument sake these are 2000 models and all manual..
2000 Honda Civic CXI Hatch
2000 Honda Civic GLI Hatch
2000 Honda Civic GLI Sedan
all have the following fuel ratings;
Fuel Urban (l/100km) 7.0 (8.5 Auto)
Fuel Extra Urban (l/100km) 5.8 (6.6 Auto)
Fuel Combined (l/100km) 6.2 (7.3 Auto)
The Civics have a 45L Tank
2000 Honda Integra GSi
Fuel Urban (l/100km) 8.5 (9.5 Auto)
Fuel Extra Urban (l/100km) 6.8 (7.0 Auto)
Fuel Combined (l/100km) 7.4 (7.9 Auto)
Integra's have a 50L tank
Keep in mind that at the end of the day its how you drive the car.
o yer and mines an auto lol, so ill be getting a bit less distance, but still, barely reaching 400 to "easily 450" is a big diff. might take it to akmotorworks or something wen i hit 120xxx
how come..
my 1.5ltr gli only gives abt 500kms (40ltr tank) **stock**
benjamin's 1.8ltr gives 700kms (36ltr tank) **under 1 ton?**
what kind of weight reduction -no spare tyres, no floor jack, lighter rims =o
i always thought bigger displacement means more fuel consumption..
i dont rev high (2.5-3krpms shift) and dont go wot
lol
60% city 40% highway ... and i hit Vtec every 3 days ... may be more...
500 KM in a tank is not too hard = = ~ but my car is D16Y1 3 doors eg civic , done 201100 km already, light mods... [pod air filter...4-2-1 header...]
the most important things is i put all the things out ... the spare tyre ~ tool~ every thing in the back ...
and i just do my best... 6.3 L / 100KM ~ haha~ and the last time was 7.5L / 100KM [before i change the engine oil and gear box oil]
remember to use the best petrol that you can fill in every place.... 98 something...
i use V- power all the time and that is better than the BP and others... i mean compare with other 98...
if i use 91 or even e10 .... they are S.H.It ! ... i need near 9.5-10 L / 100KM
anyway...thats my opinion~ ^^ believe it or not ...
