where to buy kg/mm?
i order from JDMyard
email them
anyone actually had theirs lowered?
coz i remember the jazz stock suspension isn't that great. i ran into a pothole about 3-4cm deep in parramatta road at about 80km/h and something under the car hit the road. similarly, in sussex street china down, ran down the street for a parking spot, something under the car hit the gutter and it was only 2-3 cm higher than the rest of the road.
anyonen else had the same problems?
Yeah... I've scrapped the bottom of my Jazz twice now :(
Once on a speed hump and once coming out of a driveway...
and you want to lower it?
i remember there are some shocks that lets you adjust the height of your car with some control from the inside
try considering those
tanabe air shocks, very dear..
lol
if u have the big cash... get those shocks then....
or just get some coilover or shocks and springs combo will be enough and i believe the outcome will be not too bad
hehehe only for the very hardcore..
Mine has been lowered over 2 inches and I haven't hit/scraped a thing???
They must be some pretty deep potholes or super huge speed humps.
lol
2 inch?
that's too much i think.........
i was driving on epping road today...
something at the bottom of my car is scraped again >.<
i think yr car have some problem mate.....
um... but i can't be bothered to take it to honda to fix...
they take like 2 days and charges you a few hundred dollars
Too low my arse.....handling is in a whole new dimension (and I have virtually no body roll) and it doesn't prevent me from driving anywhere.
No such thi8ng as too low :p
i agree with thatQuote:
No such thi8ng as too low
i also have another conclusion that some driveways are illegally steep!
Pete :)
the jazz shocks have very short travel.
hitting a pothole or bumps will result in suspension hitting the hard stop almost immediately. this "THUNK" can easily be mistaken for scraping the bottom.
I dont think you should worry about the warranty, but if you lowering it causes something under the car to break well dont expect it to be covered.
so you lowerin your car or not geoff? :D
not for awhile... have somethin else in mind ;)
Try this...Cusco Suspension kit
Around $1200

It's really different.......

way that car looks sweet low (above).. .. buh geoff your driveway ish gonna be annoying.. .. you already scrapped it? mmm.... start measuring bro!
Pics no worky for me?
But if it's coilovers they are C-R-A-P!

last time i bought the KYB and kg/mm in hk cost $4200 (for my accord)
coz i have to send it back
try to lower the weight
i get mine for $4k shocks alone since Jazz is a bit new so price will be more expensive than accord
Stop talking in HK money...I have no idea how much it really is! (jk - but seriously, how much is it??)
Spoon fit, are you looking to lower your car too? What are you looking to do?
OT: TypeG I was just looking at your sig, and I was thinking it should say "under reconstruction" for your Jazz now! - hope all is well with that....
AUD$ = HK$/5.5 around
hi, yes i want to lower my car, but i want to change the rims first.Quote:

it is all depends on the type of the shocker/springs/coilover
some shockers are able to adjust hard to soft
if u have limited burget, go Koni, GAB or KYB
u are have big $, go Spoon or Mugen
i mean your springQuote:

Get a matched spring and shock combo for the best ride. If you aren't worried about height (or how much you can lower it) any of the options TypeG mentioned will do the trick.
If you are going to spend the money on Mugen or Spoon shocks and springs, I would be looking at coilovers instead. They will offer you more settings and you will be able to lower the car more (Mugen only lowers the car 15mm!)
It all depends on your budget and what you are trying to achieve.
Pedders springs with OEM shocks = a terrible combo
for tyres, it is all depends how wide it is too
for 7' wide, i suggest u go 205. go G3 man
i change my car back to stock for claiming insurance since someone hit my car, now i really feel the handling is suck and the ride is funny coz the rims are too thin
hahhahaha
coilover .... u mostly dun need it coz u will hardly go to set yr height unless u go track for best cornering and stuff
i suggest go Koni yellow since it got high low soft hard setting
go trader section, there is a panel beater selling it very cheap.....
is it alrite if i use my old pedders springs with the koni shock?? or is it better off changing the springs as well?
any advice where can i get a pair of koni shock in syd?
other than the one TypeG mentioned (Thanks BTW), im just askin this so i can get an estimate and compare which one is cheap
if u have $, get new springs as well
my personal will go kg/mm since many frds recommend that to me
or get any good brand will do.......
contact Koni directly and see where is the distrubtor in Sdy or just ask them how much to buy from their place
u looking for $900 for the shocker alone
Anyone know the specific part number of the shocks for JAZZ???? trying to get Koni shocks....Thanksss
email them and ask if better
I got my springs custom made at Industrial Springs in Adelaide.
visit the site at www.industrialsprings.com.au
They got the specs for the jazz so u can tell them how low you want and stuff and they'll make it according to what you want and send it off to ya i think. but i live here in adelaide so they installed it for me as well...dont know if they post it out or not.
The ride is very comfortable with my stock VTi-S wheels. It isn't too rough or too hard ride. But if you have 205/40 or 215/40 or even 235/35 low profiles, it's very very bumpy ride! I had 18" wheels before!
I got set of 4 spring for only au$200 and labor free installation since my car is the first they made for.
The only bad thing about these springs is it's not colour powdered coated. It just have normal paint... you can get it powder coated, but cost extra...
I highly recommend industrial springs. Should email them.
Just to let u guys know.
Does anybody have any comments about Kingsprings? they are an Australian brand and make springs for the Jazz.
Yeah my comment is that they suck...
Some people like them, but I don't. I know of a few guys from BMW circles that have used them and they have sagged. There have also been 2 occasions when springs have snapped (2 seperate vehicles).
I'm not slagging off Aussie companies, but for some reason, their suspension components are generally of a pretty poor standard compared to those made in Japan and Europe. If you can afford it, go for a reputable brand from either Japan or Europe. It will cost you a bit more, but the quality is worth it IMO.
at least jus-10 agrees with my point of view
i have said the same thing over & over but got flamed nonstop from people b/c they are "patriotic"
They all probably just think that you are trying to drum up some business for yourself :p
they keep saying i'm totally biased
but it is the sad truth, kings/pedders/lovells all don't cut the job
yeah that
u get wtf u pay for
save longer and get a beteer stuff
damn Koni/KYB dun have shocks for jazz yet any1 can help?
......
man
i got my KYB shockers already and it hopefully arrived soon
really...?cos i called both of them today and they said they dun have it...the guy at KYB even ask me how to spell JAZZ....
anyway can i get the spec for your KYB??
i assume they have the same quality as Koni?
I have no idea on spec. In the mag, they just said that GAB and KYB is about the same quality and price. I have used GAB b4 and the ride is not too bad. Since I am not required any adjustment on height as i just want my car SLIGHTLY lower since I am getting bodykit done very soon so soft and hard adjustment will be enough for me.
I will let u know how it ride once they arrive but i believe it will not too bad. Koni is not bad either
is it the same price as koni? how much? where do u get it? i want it badly...cos im really missin the old comfort ride
KYB doesn't sell anything for the Jazz in Australia. You will need to look to Asia for more options
Type G, how much u get for KYB? is it adjustable?
any other shock recommendation?
I got mine for $1200+ tax as i just receive a letter from custom
the price is not far cheaper than coilover but again i cant afford spoon and mugen one and i dun like the ride of tein so i cant have much choice
it is adjustable but hard and soft as i just want to lower a bit since kits will be arrive very soon i hope.
i am think of doing import stuff from asia and if ppl interested in any stuff they saw in HK or taiwai mag, let me know so i can keep an eye as ppl will think import stuff is easy and cheap but tax and stuff will make u surprised sometimes...
try this...Quote:

i saw somewhere like this as well
but sound like there is no good comment on any coilover on jazz so far i saw
only spoon one shocker only good comment..
TypeG hows ur KYB shocks? is it good enough?
i havent installed man
still waiting my springs to come
but ride should be comfortable i think
the cusco one really not comfortable at all, but cheap... :pQuote:

Tien is around $1900
also for the R engine, 2 of the Jazz got dc5r engine swap already so it is not only mugen jazz got it. Spoon jazz got dc5r engine in i believe as well.
i've come across pple talking about Jazz's Modulo suspension kit (presumably marketed by Honda). anyone knows anything more about this?
