Congratulations on finally getting a really great set of coilovers!!! Would suggest you get it properly fitted and not DIY.

not sure yet, once coilover installed and see how's the ride quality first then make discussion between 17" or 18". for sure it will be shinny look and not exceed 18" due insurance issue.
i like to take my time to mod the car as not much money to change mind once purchased

Aus if you are thinking of putting in BBK I suggest you get at minimum 18'' plus preferabaly get a curved deigned rim or else even with 42 offset it may not clear width of caliper and you may end up putting in spacers.
The 45 profile tyres on 18 s is still quite comfortable.

just some review, the bus dropped abt 15mm f/r only as considering the practical side as daily. ride quality is way, way, way better than stock - i know its BS. the Eibach are soft (8k) but supportive which are very suitable for Sydney roads. Would suggest the optional 10k if having more even roads. Ohlins DFV are the best part as they almost absorb every re-bound force caused by springs on bumpy road. even the in house finance controller saying its more comfortable than stock. its raining today and haven't tried any sprint cornering, will test on Wakefield if any chance. :eek::eek:
with the ride quality provided by Ohlins, almost for sure a set of 18" polish rim is a must

its ok for me. the mechanics did a great job :thumbsup: by just removing the top cover (cup holders) on both side and he use extended wrench for removing the nuts, not even need to remove the side trims. mine is only height adjustable so no need to remove trims anymore :DQuote:

mine is facelift mode but doesn't matter which model. know that the mechanic did the same to a pre-facelift model (as yrs) in Sydney the same way :)
My mechanic only removed the side trims to get to the rear when installing my coilovers as well. Maybe your mechanic wanted to do some exploration work with your car?? ;)

i know you guys would say dump it more and a set of 20"...... but i found this height is more on practical side and am happy abt it.
Does it damp adjustable or just height adjustable? Are the shocks going great or just fine?
^^ only height adjustable. its a very subjective feeling especially for commenting on suspension setup, how firm is firm and how soft is soft...... all i can say is great combined with other suspension mod on and will not use other coilover on my RB1 unless airbag setup....
With 1 year on rough/bumpy Sydney roads and have no problems, recently changed back to 16" stockies is even better. tbh, if you are after hardcore cornering/aggressive wheel offset then DFV 8k spring is firm enough. gl with yr shopping or choose other brands (e.g Tanabe, JIC, etc) then give us a review :)
have tried to drive it with 7 people in your car? hows that feel? thats my concern in choosing suspension for mine, i dont want to stiff when im driving my self, and i dont want to bumpy when carrying passangers.
maximum 6 adults, brake sucks, ride abt the same fm driver 'spoint of view, no bottom out, no complaints fm passengers (in house finance controller at the 3rd row) even on winding road.

Coils went in as planned, been driving around on it for a week + now. To me it is more comfortable compared to my previous set due to lower spring rates and has better dampening. No change in height as I maintained the old height of the car. But for the price I got it for, I think it's bang for buck.Quote:

i think depends on the spec of your front wheel man. aggressive width and offset need guard works plus camber setting. you can always get a set of SPC camber bolt for adjustment but result to max/min from -1.5 deg/+1.5 deg
I installed SPC camber bolts in the front and SPC camber arms on the rear from the outset because my main aim was to ensure that my tyres didn't wear unevenly. So far it seems to be working pretty well.

I think the part number is 67125.
I don't know if it will be enough because it also depends on what wheels you are getting and if more camber is required to fit them.
The lowest I have gone is 1 finger fender gap all round and the front camber ball joint (sorry not camber bolts, got it mixed up with the ones on my Civic) was set at about -1. My rolling spec is 18x7.5 +42 with 225/45 tyres.
i will try to fit my 18x7.5+48 front and 18x7.5+42 back initially and planning to have 1 finger gap as well. if i have spare cash i might go 19x8.5+38/4x front.

You won't be needing much -ve camber on those 18" specs, in fact think the
19" specs should be fine as well.. The SPC camber ball joints will do the
job.
Generally I was able to get around most places without much issue except
steep inclines(when going up) and steep slopes (when going down) and large
humps. It takes a bit of getting used to.
The underside of my front Modulo lip is pretty scratched (but no cracks)
due to steep slopes and huge humps, I have scrapped my front under arm bar
a fair few times due to the super huge hump at my children's child care and
a few here and there on other huge humps, not sure if I would scrap without the under arm bar thought. HKS exhaust resonator scrapped like there was no tomorrow, but that was put right very quickly with hotdogs.
I have since raise my car up a bit to 1 1/2 finger gap front and 2 finger
rear. and I haven't scrapped on anything plus I tend to take it slow when I
think the car will scrap + I snake around big humps

Going to Japan in June and plan to bring a set of Teins back, but no not the hybrid.....
