it's not 900kg.
if it is then wow that's so heavy! even my ek is less than that!
Pretty sure its 1115kg
Yeah damn that's just fkn heavy this whole time I was thinking a crx was 1 tonne
The weight on a del sol is
2,295 lb (1,041 kg) - 2,535 lb (1,150 kg)
But before people think thats heavy.
A k24 delsol ran a 12.2 (full street trim)
And many b16a turbo del sols have run 11's before.
Not that has anything to do with it.
Cause any engine modifications can be done to get the desired result.
Oddly enough i havent seen them as track cars, but i can say they are fantastic street cars, cheap on fuel the overall curvy styling exterior and of course Targa. Not some cheap canvas softtop.
They also have alot of sound proofing.
How is overall handling and acceleration
Well I can only say from experience. But mine sits lower than my ek1 and is much stiffer also has wider tires (195 insted of 175). Ran the 175 from the civic far a while and it howled like a mofo, and got jittery under hard braking. But with the 195s it handles like a dream, small understeer if you realy push.
As for acceleration it's a vtec Honda. It rapes once it gets going. But I fing the b16a is a bit of a toque-less wonder.

cause i had been rollin on 15x8 and lowered on coilovers i could take a corner very hard and it would do it quiet well.
The b16a is nice for what is it short sharp and punchy.
But i still think a b18c would be perfect for this chassis.
Then again how many b18c delsol's are there
..
..
That are for sale. - 0
^^^ I can agree with snoop
I could take corners very nicely and I had only d2 coilovers felt like a go kart
