if u add ITBs onto a stock engine. how do u expect it to run at all ? (map/afm will not work)
vacuum box
it'll probably run, just barely and probably terribly too
Like DYNALL'S?,then it will run?
Word!
no he's just got an airbox.. vacuum box is just something to run all your vac lines to
i.e. 1 from each tb, to brake booster, map sensor, iac, etc
what if you only work the head, and leave the bottom end standard? would that yeild a good power increase?
the way i see it, itb's aren't about making power
they're about response and shifting the power band to however you like it
mid range ftw
I forgot to mention when it gets tuned, I've been told that you have to go to a tuner that knows ITB's apparently if you dont tune it properly, the butterflies of each body doesnt open properly.
:x thats as far as I know. Can anyone confirm this?
All depends on the engine setup, ITB setup, etc.
My JDM B18C with A-sport ITB's ran fine, and idled perfectly on a stock DC2VTIR ECU. You could feel power loss higher up on the stock ECU though.
Tuning was fiddly, took about 5-6 hours but the end result was fantastic.
Actually idled better on the stock ECU than the tuned Hondata :D
Wow really better on stock ECU than the Hondata? D:
