Thanks for everyone's help about my mystery wiper problem. I might be selling my trusty old Honda complete with wipers that work on their own. Seems it can't be fixed. Anyway I'm looking at a 2004/5 crv. Ive heard this model can have transmission problems. Im looking at auction or private. Can anyone tell what problems there are or what to look out for with this model? Thanks

Thanks Richard. I haven't got one yet but I'm over driving manuals in heavy traffic. I haven't owned a manual for years. What's the problem with an auto?

I assumed the transmission problems you mentioned were auto transmission problems, not manual transmission problems. Friend of mine had a manual CRV. Seemed to drive quite well.
I agree on the heavy traffic thing though. My car is great at speed, but a pain in stop-start traffic. Consequently I leave a bit of a gap so I can idle through in first or second. Mind you, this seems to reaaaally piss off some drivers, who seem to think I do this just to let in other cars ahead of me.

I haven't purchased one yet but it will be an auto. I was wondering what problems, if any do the 2004/5 crv have
