not bad! what tyres were they?
They actually held up really well, when I got them to 38psi hot for both front and rear they held up great.
I did about 5 hot laps before they started to lose a grip. It wasn't a lot that was lost but it was noticeable.
thats really good bro!! 38 hot seems pretty perfect for street tyres!
I bet ya you'll beat your pb again with the same setup when you go back! goodluck! keep us posted!
Bit of an update, managed to knock 2.3sec off my PB today at Phillip Island with my new suspension setup and more confidence in the car. Need to improve turn in though and replace a lot of bushes.
Try some new alignment settings for turn in, I've found that a bit of toe out helps a lot. I run about 1 - 1.5mm toe out each side and it makes a huge difference on turn in. It does mean that you have to get it back it street alignment after the track day because it's really sketchy driving with that setting on the street, especially on highways and also it eats through your tires too.
Yeah, already running 1mm toe in the front. It's a non registered car, so no worry about street ability!! Think the issue a lot is that it's still got stock bushes in the front, so considering its an 88 model that only sees hard track use I think it's time to upgrade them.
Good job dude - well done
