S2000 Diff Rebuild Parts

Basic Small Parts Rebuild Kit:
That’s right, we’ve put a small parts kit together for S2K differential rebuilds that is actually price competitive for Australian customers. If you’re changing out your final drive, these are all the small parts that you have to replace. Of course we’d recommend getting the premium kit, but it’s not a necessity if your diff is in good working order. Here’s what you get:

(All components are genuine Honda):
- front pinion bearing
- rear pinion bearing
- crush tube (pinion collar)
- pinion lock nut
- pinion lock nut washer
- pinion seal

Price: $249
Note: You will need a pinion spacer shim when you change the bearings and/or final drive. There are 27 sizes and it is impossible to know which one you need until you do a trial assembly. We hold every shim in stock - $15 including shipping anywhere in Australia.

Premium Small Parts Kit
a comprehensive parts kit for a meticulous rebuild.
Includes everything in the "basic" kit, plus:
- 2 x side carrier bearings
- 2 x axle seals
- 2 x stub axle spring retainers
- Dimple magnetic Drain Plug (see separate post for how good these things are)

Final Drive
These are "factory" items - made by Mazda (who make all the Honda S2K final drive gears), and work perfectly in the Honda S2K differential. We have 2 options:
$440 for standard 4.77, or
$840 for standard 4.44
$140 extra for us to shot peen and Isotropic Super-Finish (ISF/REM) the gear set. ISF is an industry-proven technique for leaving a mirror-like finish on the gears, which both reduces the likelihood of crack formation, while reducing friction. Reducing the friction between meshing gears increases power to the wheels, and lowers operating temperatures and noise. We have heaps of info in the FAQ section of our website if you're interested in finding out more. We do this process in-house.
