Hey guys,
Just thought I would put my 2 cents in.
I have a 2009 FD2 Sport. I get 450-470 up until all the fuel lights are out and red warning light is on. When I fill up, 2 clicks, I put in around 41-42 litres.
Therefore I estimate to easily get 500+ on a tank. I'm happy filling up every 460-470 as my SSS Pulsar was lucky to hit 400.
Anyways, this is 100% Sydney peak hour driving only. No highway's no country. When I take it down South I'll give you an updated figure. I reckon 600+. Oh, and normal driving, not driving like a grandma.

Sounds just like me hazza

i also get very bad fuel consumption,
always get 450kms per tank with 98
btw, mine one is Fd1 with 17" rims
maybe always have two people in the car :)
-
I can drive 5 people and still achieve pretty much the same consumption. The other week I had 120kg of flour in my boot and still got 480km on 44L city driving
-
Bro, I am more interested in why you were driving with 120kg of flour in your boot. hehehe
-
u a baker? or was that real flour...;)
-
I'm a manager at a supermarket and sometimes other stores need transfers of stock so I deliver...but for that week I was too busy to go and couldn't be bothered taking it out of the boot. I eventually delivered though ;)

I put petrol in my new VTi LE (manual) for the first time last week. It had done 300Km and took 20L of regular unleaded. So that's 6.67L/100Km on a brand new engine, driving around Melbourne suburbia/freeways with a somewhat heavy footed driver. Once the engine has worn in, I'd expect that figure to improve.
Incidentally the fuel gauge was showing half, suggesting it covers 40L (20L / 0.5 = 40L) with 10L to spare (giving a total of 50L) as others have mentioned.

no air-con, driving like a granny, and tyres pumped gets me 450km +
street and highway

Only had the VTi 10 days and put on 1700km, first tank with a self impossed 3500rpm limit, got 490km from 36L, 2nd tank I got 630kms for 42L. It seems piss easy to get 6.6-7.0L/100km. Most driving is 50/50 highway and city stuff.
